Are you itching to get out in your garden?
Does it look sad and pathetic like this?
I have some very hearty flowers that I like to plant this time of year. Last spring I still had some pansies and winter plants, as well as pumpkins [!] in my planter when I brought out my special flowers
Nothing survived this year, and I was longing for some color
This metal flower had really faded out and needed some perking up
Nothing that a little glossy craft paint can’t handle. Just a couple of small jars of color and a brush and it was as good as a bright new bloom
A recent trip to the local nursery Hobby Lobby yielded some more carrots for my vegetable section
and another large and happy bloom to plant with my giant daffodil
These photos were taken last Sunday when it was a sunny 70 degrees.
Monday it was 27. Which is why I always plant metal flowers this time of year, so I can have a weatherproof garden~
You never know when you might want to have a Garden party!
Of course it’s a good idea to do some indoor gardening too
You can’t ever have too many flowers~they bring such life to any space…
Even those grocery store “awfuls” can look good tucked in a glass inside a flower pot [sorry, I hate the dyed flowers]
A few glue dots and a cute ribbon and you have a fresh new look~
Nothing says spring like flowers!
