I am a sucker for free shipping, are you? Even though I’m sure the cost is built in there anyway, I’m still a sucker…
I found these runners at TJMaxx.com for under $14 each. They are lined and edged with a burlap fringe and look like handpainted watercolors… I couldn’t resist 😳 These practically had my name on them….and with free shipping, why they barely cost anything…Right? Do you fool yourself reason like that?
I shortened them by folding the middles so the lobsters and sea horses would be visible
I covered up the hot mess extra fabric with a casually placed coral towel and a Sea Shell Charger
This china is “Coquille” by Fitz & Floyd and I’ve had it for centuries a long time. Coquille is French for shell
The dinner plates have 3 different large shells and the salad plates all have the same two shells
The ceramic water goblets have a shell covered base and the inside of the glasses are coral colored
I had a little fun contrasting elegant and casual
Mini shells, the towel centerpiece, burlap fringe, and casual linen napkins keep the formal tableware from getting too fussy
The towel is placed as if it had been tossed on the beach
A tall white washed silver candlestick, topped with a turquoise dish tucked inside a “Coquille bowl” helps tie in the blue seahorses
The battery operated votives are tucked in individual compotes at each place
The candlestick is tall enough to top with flowers without blocking anyone’s view
Don’t you just love a candlelight dinner?
Here are some more sea shell tablescapes~
A Sea of Texture is full of sea shells and candlelight also
Washed Ashore features a candlelight shell centerpiece
Ode to the Seashell is also set with “Coquille” china
