I have always had a fascination with glass, the magical way it transforms light and makes shadows dance with color…
Looking around for something to fill my lantern,
I began experimenting with small glass bottles
Do you see all the different shades and tones that are made from the reflected light?
More glass, small baubles, and then some lights
I used 2 strings of tiny LED battery lights inside the lantern
And battery operated votives in the small holders
After a wonderfully hectic family weekend, HH & I were really for some tranquility!
So I set this table for relaxation and civility!
No sippy cups and plastic ware, just pretty china, glasses, and calm everywhere
Round, square, diamond and bubble, makes for fine dining without any trouble-
The pattern on the plates looks like the waves the sea makes
Sunglasses of course, right under the forks
As the day becomes night, the sun sinks out of sight
The candles are lit and we’re ready to sit
A sea of glass and a rest at long last
Let’s pour the wine, it’s time to dine
and set sail on this sea
of Sparkling Tranquility!
