CC told her mom she wanted to have her birthday party
at home this year
CC, DD and I had such fun planning it!
{pretend the 9 is turned around}
The theme of the party was Ice Cream and it was all very girly girl
The decorations were ice cream cones, balloons and lots of pink
DD covered her table with 2 pink ombre plastic tablecloths
We set paper flower ice cream cones in glasses down the center
and filled the spaces between them
with colored ribbons and balloons
Upon arrival, each guest was given a pretty pastel colored robe to wear
The main activity of the party was having their faces painted
The face painter’s colorful table and outfit
coordinated with the party decor!
Each girl took a turn having a design painted on her face
The kitchen island was covered in a striped plastic cloth
and served as a craft table
A large Flower Ice Cream Cone decorated the center
Rolls of washi tape and scissors were placed near each place
for the girls crafts
Each girl got a wood letter of her first initial {Hobby Lobby}
The girls used colorful washi tape in a variety of patterns
to decorate their letters
5 of her friends names begin with E!
The girls decorated their letters with the colorful tapes
while waiting for their turn with the face painter
A drink station was set up on the kitchen counter
with carafes of sparkling lemonade and water
CC wanted to use fancy grown up style glasses
We found these on Amazon here
they were the perfect size for little hands,
only about 7 inches tall
I wrote the girls names on them with a paint pen
I also found these Happy Birthday ice cream cone napkins here
And these adorable ice cream cone spoons
Colorful paper plates from Hobby Lobby
fit right in with the party decor and matched the robes
After a lady like lunch of finger sandwiches and fruit
it was time for dessert…
No birthday cake today,
dessert was an Ice Cream Sundae Charcuterie tray!
CC declared it the best party ever!
Stop by on Thursday when I will be sharing the tutorial
for the floral ice cream cones on the monthly Creative Crafts Blog Hop
An ice cream sundae bar or charcuterie board is perfect for any age group
For adults I would swap out the gummy candies
for more sophisticated choices
like candied pecans, walnuts or pistachios,
maraschino cherries, a variety of syrups,
chocolate or butterscotch chips,
small pieces of fruit, pretzels…
Endless Possibilities!
