Creations, Floral Ice Cream Cone

Welcome to the March edition of the monthly Creative Craft Hop
hosted by Andrea from Design Morsels
Welcome readers, friends, and visitors from Chas Crazy Creations!
Chas shared a very cute and easy bunny craft and
today I’m going to share an easy craft too…
an ice cream cone made with faux flowers
You can hang it on a door for a happy Spring or Summer welcome
You can add a ribbon or place in a vase for a centerpiece

I actually was able to use things I already had~
A grapevine tree that was perfect for the cone,
a bouquet of purple peonies, a large white hydrangea bloom
a smaller pink bloom, and a dark red mum

For the bottom “scoop,”
I placed the peony bouquet into the cone first
and spread the flowers evenly around the rim,
bending the wire stems as needed to keep them in place

The second “scoop” is the fluffy white hydrangea bloom
which sits on top of the spread peonies

The 3rd “scoop” is a bright pink bloom, slightly smaller than the hydrangea
Now all it needs is a cherry on top!

The scoops stay in place by the stems sticking into the flowers below
For outdoor use, you will need to use floral wire
or glue to keep them secure in the elements
My front door does not have an overhang or roof protection
so I have to use sturdy and weatherproof decorations out there
This ice cream cone is for inside the front door
It can easily be deconstructed at any time and the components used again

This ice cream cone makes a fun centerpiece for a tablescape,
a birthday party or a dessert buffet

Jenna, A triple scoop of creativity with a cherry on top! I would have never thought of creating a floral ice cream cone. I love that it can be disassembled and the floral elements and cone reworked for a future floral project, wreath or craft. ♥
Thank you Mary, I was excited that I had what I needed, and am able to reuse the elements again is always a plus!
What a fun idea Jenna!
Thanks Lynn!
That really is adorably creative, Jenna!
Thank you Rita, such a quick fun craft!
Jenna, This is as cute as can be, and so creative! I never would have thought about turning a grapevine Christmas tree upside down! Before I read that part, I was wondering where you got a grapevine ‘cone’. I love how you styled the table with all of your cute ‘ice cream cones’ and ‘cupcakes’! So adorable!
Thanks so much Chloe!
It’s beautiful and such a fun idea Jenna!
Thanks Martha!
Jenna, this is so creative and I wouldn’t have thought of turning the Christmas tree upside down. This is cute for a door or your table! Stay safe during this severe weather day, schools are closed here!
Thanks so much Pam, it’s quiet on the coast but I am so worried about all my friends further north 🙏 🤞💕
This is so charming, and it makes me think . . . where is my door “cone?” I know I had one of these, but where it is now, who knows? I’m pretty sure that Ellie Jo at the Christmas Dance took mine. Of all the nerve! Time to get another so I can have ice cream on my door like you! Thanks for the reminder not to loan Ellie Jo anything.
haha, watch out for Ellie Jo!
You are so clever Jenna. A lady of many talents for sure. I love your ice cream cone and as usual, you make it look so easy. I like putting “wreaths” on an inside door or mirror. Your table is adorable.
Hugs
Thank you Kari, I need to try a wreath on my hall mirror, haven’t done that before!
Your floral cone is just beautiful! What a clever idea.
thank you Jeanie!
I love the dusty pink peonies and white hydrangeas together. It makes such a cute door decoration and really cute on your cupcake table. Thanks for being in the hop. Happy Easter!
Thanks so much Andrea, lots of fun ideas today!
Such a beautiful floral creation! You should sell your stuff in ebay, Jenna.
Thank you Angie, a fun and easy craft!
I gasped when I first set eyes on this; it’s just gorgeous Jenna!
Oh thank you Sara!!
Super creative Jenna and beautiful!! I love how it turned out. It looks great every where you placed it. I love the bright spring colors that can even stay on your door for summer. I love it!!
Thank you Terrie! Ice cream cones always bring smiles 🙂
How cute is that and I love how easy it is. Your colors are fantastic and I appreciate anything that can be kept up all season long and this one can be up for spring and summer! Thanks for sharing and wonderful crafting with you friend.
Thank you Chas, fun quick craft!
I love this craft idea Jenna. I will have to look through my stash for a cone. I don’t remember one but may have something I can use. I really like how you use it for a centerpiece in the vase and the front door welcome. Wonderful idea………
Thank you Emily, ice cream cones always make things feel happy, I hope you’re safe today, worried about you!
Jenna, this is a beautiful floral basket wreath. I appreciate that you gave different ideas on how to use it, to get maximum value out of the creation. This is a spring through summer craft!
Thank you Rachelle, a fun decoration!
Mary said it perfectly… “A triple scoop of creativity and a cherry on top.” You always amaze me. Love it! Stay safe with all the weather coming your way!
Thank you Nancy, I’m safe at the beach this week, but my friends in Birmingham are having a rough day…
Jenna, you always come up with the most creative projects – no what the theme! Love your floral ice cream cone! It is truly lovely and quite versatile for just about any occasion, too!
Thank you Gail, much appreciated!
Jenna, you are so talented and creative! This arrangement is both beautiful and adorable! It is perfect for a centerpiece or hanging on a door. Happy Thursday!
Thanks Shannon, I was excited that I had everything I needed!
I love this! It reminds me of a real one my kids made at a flower kids’ workshop with real carnations.– they put it in a red solo cup and added a straw and a spoon…. Yours is so cheerful looking! I’ve pinned it.
I would love to make a real one, I bet it was beautiful!! I will give it a try, thanks Liberty!
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
How smart are you! I thought it was a special grapevine vase, never dreaming it was just turned upside down, haha, dah! You truly tthink”out of the box” creative thoughts! Also, I am impressed that you had all those pretty flowers, just the right size and colors on hand! AND that they can easily be used again for another creative project! Win, win, win! Pinning! Thanks Jenna!
Thank you Cyndi, it is fun to “shop” your how and use things you have in new ways…I was pretty excited I found just what I needed for this craft 🙂
Jenna, this is such a clever idea! It’s the perfect centerpiece for an ice cream social! I love how you can hang it on a door or put it in a vase. My favorite detail is the “cherry” flower on top! It’s always fun hopping with you. Happy Easter!
Thank you Rebecca!
Such a clever and creative idea. It’s gorgeous!
thanks Marie, it is a fun and easy project 🙂
