I’m spending the weekend on the coast with my family

and with 2 of my nieces and their families

so there are 16 of us

CC is the only girl cousin here

and she bravely keeps up the the boys

CC’s dad, my SIL,

taught the visiting boys how to fish off the pier

The “chef,” HHjr, and his two boys

couldn’t get here until late Friday night,

so I ordered dinner from a local BBQ restaurant

It was so easy!

I placed the order several days ahead of time

and arranged to pick it up in mid afternoon

when the restaurant wasn’t busy

I put the meat and sides in the refrigerator

and then warmed them up at dinner time

Everything came in large foil pans with lids

so it was simple to serve buffet style

and leftovers were quickly tucked away

Saturday night we had our traditional Shrimp Boil

we also got a platter of chicken nuggets from the grocery deli

for the picky eaters

Both meals were served buffet style

with heavy duty paper plates and plastic forks

to make clean up a breeze
