Green Chile Strata
Garnish this easy cheesy strata with bacon roses for a tasty brunch!

- 6 large size flour tortillas
- 1 4 oz can chopped green chilies drained
- 3 cups grated Mexican blend cheese
- 8 eggs beaten
- 2 c 2% milk
- 1 cup 1/2 n 1/2
Grease 13×9 and cover bottom with 2 tortillas, tearing in pieces to make a layer, sprinkle with 1/3 chiles then 1/3 cheese. Repeat layers. Beat eggs with milk and salt and pepper and pour over layers. Cover and refrigerate overnight
Bake 350 45-60 min., until puffed and golden and set in the middle. Cool 5 to let set before cutting into squares. Serves 8-12
Note: Normally I recommend grating your own cheese, but in this case the pre-shredded kind is fine
Options:
Add cooked and crumbled chorizo sausage
Serve with a dollop of salsa and sour cream on top
