6large peanut butter or peanut butter chocolate chip cookies
2cupsbutterscotch chips
1cupsemi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2cupsheavy cream
24mini Reeseās peanut butter cups for garnishhalved or chopped
whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
Crumble cookies and put in the bottom of jars. I used about 1/2 cookie per jar. .
Put 1 cup of butterscotch chips in a 2 cup measuring cup. Add 1/2 cup heavy cream. Microwave for 1 minute on high.* Stir. Return to microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Mixture should be smooth and melted enough to pour
Pour butterscotch over cookie crumbs in 6 jars.
Repeat the process with remaining butterscotch chips, 1/2 cup cream and remaining jars. You do not have to clean measuring cup before using again.
Notes
Do not cook chocolate or butterscotch chips too long or they will become grainy. Adjust time according to your own oven or melt chips in a double boiler.
