Combine cake mix with butter and milk and beat to combine.

Divide in half and put half of batter into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. The batter is sticky so use the back of a spoon and try to spread it out. Bake at 350 for 9 minutes.

Cut Rolos in half and place caramel side down on top of baked layer.

Drop the other half of batter by spoonfuls over Rolos.

Return to oven and bake 20-24 minutes more, until just golden, do not over bake. Top with butterscotch chips if desired. Let cool and cut into bars or squares.
