Snowy Cookie Tree

This dessert tree doubles as a table decoration!

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 dozen cookies
  • homemade buttercream icing or canned icing
  • sprinkles
  • buttercream icing
  • 1/2 stick 4 T unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups confectioner’s sugar
  • 2-4 T milk or cream
  • 1 tsp almond emulsion or vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Arrange cookies in layers starting with the biggest layer on the bottom and gradually tapering to a small layer at the top.
  • Use dollops of icing to secure bottom layer of cookies to plate and then securing additional layers with more icing.  Place small “snowballs” of icing on cookie tips and edges and sprinkle tree with decorations like sparkling sugar, snowflakes and colored sprinkles.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap and store at room temperature
