Party Panache, White Pizza Dip

Are you starting to think about Super Bowl food?  How about the BAMA game tomorrow night? This red & white dip would be PERFECT!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Start by roasting some grape tomatoes, just toss around on a foil lined sheet pan with a little salt

Toss the cheeses together in a bowl

Add the roasted tomatoes and seasonings

Stir gently to combine and pop it into the oven until it is a melted, gooey, cheesy mess dish of goodness and serve it up!

I used store bought pizza crusts for dipping.  These are like Boboli Brand but they’re called Mama Mary’s and they come in regular, thin, and ultra thin. I chose ultra thin and they worked like a dream.

I brushed the crust with a little Olive oil, sprinkled it with Kosher salt, cut it into small pieces and baked it for about 5 minutes.

It was the perfect pairing for this pizza flavored dip! Make sure the dippers you serve are strong enough for dipping in the heavy gooey cheese…french bread would simply fall apart in the dip…

And you my dear, are once again, a ROCK STAR!

Here’s the recipe:

Cook Time 30 minutes
Servings 10

Ingredients

  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 12 ounces blocks cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese freshly grated
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese freshly grated {mine came sliced so I just tore it into pieces}
  • 1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese + more for garnish
  • 4 garlic cloves minced or pressed
  • 1-2 T Italian seasoning
  • baked pizza crust for dippers

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil then place tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with olive oil and salt, then roast for 20-25 minutes, until bursting. Set aside.
  • While tomatoes are roasting, mix softened cream cheese with about 7 ounces each of provolone and mozzarella, then and parmesan.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic and roasted tomatoes, mixing well to combine.
  • Transfer mixture to an oven-safe baking dish {I used a 2 quart oval casserole}. Sprinkle with remaining provolone and mozzarella. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until top is golden and bubbly. Serve immediately with pizza crust dippers.

I kept mine warm on a heated serving tray.  Our guests REALLY LOVED this!  It will be a HIT at your next event!
