I saw a recipe over at Nest of Posies and thought it would be perfect with a big bubbling pot of chili~
Hot, crusty, cheesy, spicy, mmmmm….!
I put this together the other night when I was so tired I could have had a big glass of vino and a cookie skipped dinner but there were other hungry mouths to feed… so I crawled into the kitchen on bloody knees popped into the kitchen~
It only took minutes to grate some cheese, chopped the onion and cut up the biscuits
Drain the chilies and toss everything together in a bowl
and turn into a greased bundt pan
After about 20 minutes you will be rewarded for your effort with a cheesy aroma of bread
Loosen any edges that might have stuck to the pan with the tip of a knife and invert ring onto a plate
I used a knife to serve the first piece but after that you can rip a hunk off unless you’re a princess and require better manners
Here is my version of the Mexican Bubble Bread recipe
SPICY BISCUIT BUNDT
Ingredients
- 2 cans regular size bisuits
- 3 green onions sliced
- 3 oz Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese grated
- 3 oz Manchego cheese grated
- 1/2 to 1 4 oz can diced green chiles drained [I used 1/2 can because I don’t like too much heat, but go wild if you like]
Instructions
- 1/2 to 1 4 oz can diced green chiles, drained [I used 1/2 can because I don’t like too much heat, but go wild if you like]
- Cut the biscuits into quarters.
- Place in a bowl with the other ingredients and gently toss around.
- Turn into a greased bundt pan and bake at 375 for 20 minutes, and check for doneness. Bake until dough is cooked through, 5-10 more minutes if necessary Invert ring onto a serving plate. Serve warm Makes 8 servings.
