Party Panache, Vegetable Wontons with Peanut Sauce

Are you ready for the 4th?

There have been so many great red white and blue recipes out there, so many choices!!

I don’t know how fancy I’ll be getting this weekend with 4 wild ones underfoot, but I’ve pinned some recipes to my July 4th board here for quick reference.  Check it out for some last minute ideas-

Here’s a yummy little party bite we enjoyed over Memorial Day weekend 💥 🎉 🇺🇸

Fresh crisp veggies, sweet and tangy peanut sauce all wrapped up in a cute little package and cooked to crispy perfection

Yes, please!

Use any veggies you like

Add some chopped nuts too {or cooked chicken, pork or shrimp}

Make the sauce by mixing peanut butter with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and a dash of rice vinegar

Add enough to the veggie mixture to bind it together

Make any shape you like, ravioli, mini eggrolls, beggar’s purses

I found the beggar’s purses the easiest to make

Place a spoonful of filling on the diagonal in the center and bring points up to enclose

Dampen your fingertip and brush the wonton wrapper edges with water so they’ll stick together, and pinch and twist to seal

Fry or bake until golden and crisp and serve with additional peanut sauce
