The other day I woke up in time to see the sun rise
There is nothing prettier than the sight of the water reflecting the pink of the sky
Color can influence your mood, make you happy or sad
It is an energy source
Have you ever noticed how texture can change the way you interpret a color?
I love to fill vessels with eye candy in different colors and textures
And an occasional surprise
I found some old jewelry and shower curtain rings in a drawer
Such pretty colors…
I also had an old glass jar that I didn’t know what to do with
Now it’s a funky junk jar
It fits right in with some of my other funky things
This “artist’s vignette” brightens up the space where my art supplies are hidden in a cabinet
Some of my very favorite things are gathered here…
The funky blue vase is a pottery piece, by Charleston’s Elizabeth Carlson, is a treasured gift from one of my nieces
The fish with a palm frond tail was a gift from my Sis in law
On the wall are several canvases
A fun fish by a local artist, a gift from my daughter, is paired with my own abstract “On the Coast”
The key cabinet was purchased from a craft store and decorated with sea glass, small tiles, old jewelry and paint
And a very special Christmas present from Charlie Brown
My own little colorful corner of the world
It’s fun to think outside the “jewelry” box!
This Crazy Bead Bowl was inspired by Elizabeth Carlson
Be Fearless and color your world!
