Fearless Friday, Color Your World!

The other day I woke up in time to see the sun rise
There is nothing prettier than the sight of the water reflecting the pink of the sky
Color can influence your mood, make you happy or sad
It is an energy source
Have you ever noticed how texture can change the way you interpret a color?
I love to fill vessels with eye candy in different colors and textures
And an occasional surprise
I found some old jewelry and shower curtain rings in a drawer
Such pretty colors…
I also had an old glass jar that I didn’t know what to do with
Now it’s a funky junk jar
It fits right in with some of my other funky things
This “artist’s vignette” brightens up the space where my art supplies are hidden in a cabinet
Some of my very favorite things are gathered here…
The funky blue vase is a pottery piece, by Charleston’s Elizabeth Carlson, is a treasured gift from one of my nieces
The fish with a palm frond tail was a gift from my Sis in law
On the wall are several canvases
A fun fish by a local artist, a gift from my daughter, is paired with my own abstract “On the Coast”
The key cabinet was purchased from a craft store and decorated with sea glass, small tiles, old jewelry and paint
And a very special Christmas present from Charlie Brown
My own little colorful corner of the world
It’s fun to think outside the “jewelry” box!
This Crazy Bead Bowl was inspired by Elizabeth Carlson
Be Fearless and color your world!

Glorious sky and water reflections Jenna! Only you could create an artful vase with cast off jewelry and shower curtain rings 🙂 I adore the palm frond fish!
Nothing better that rising early at the beach. One of my favorite things to do at the beach is have my coffee and greet the sun. Jenna, you really have a flair for creating lovely vignettes. I love the old jar you tuned into a little work of art with discarded items. Looks great and I love the pop of pretty beach colors. I’ve spent time at this fabulous beach since I was a child and I still love it! It is so pretty where you live, enjoy those sunrises!
Stunning sunrise! That’s a fun way to display some colorful things.
Love it. I love glass vessels filled with colorful eye candy. Your vignettes makes me happy puts a smile from ear to ear!! Going to the beach resort this week-end can’t wait, the weather here is “suppose” to be nice. Regardless seeing the water, sunrise and set will be relaxing. Great post.
Thanks so much Linda, the beach is always relaxing even if the weather’s not perfect… I hope you have a wonderful time! >
I had to smile at your use of shower curtain rings because I’m famous for using “found” objects as decor! Hey, no one knows but you, right? (and all of us, but we won’t tell!). Happy sunrises to you!
I promise I am not a horder, I just thought they were too cute to toss! Glad to know you are a fellow “let’s see what I can do with this” person 🙂 >
Jenna, the funky junk jar is too cute and shower curtain rings, I would have never ever thought of.. but that is how an artist thinks outside of the box! Love the fish and that blue vase…your artists’ vignette is so you!
I see and very much like some of the low/neutral color things, all pretty and fresh and light and lovely. And I just can’t make it in my space. Like you, I’m a high color girl. I like my brights to live with and while I’m always so restful in a white-toned B&B, say, I couldn’t live it. I love all the color here — it just makes me smile!
And by the way, thanks for the nice words on my cat painting. That made me smile, too!
You definitely have a colorful and beautiful corner of the world Jenna. Love your ever evolving creativity!
beautiful!
What a wonderful display of color! Color certainly does affect my frame of mind and my creativity. Your displays of color are wonderful!
Thanks Lynn, I’ve been thinking of you! Thank you so much for your info on S6, I have been having so much fun with that! >
Love the fish with the palm frond – so cute and clever! I have one room in my house that is really full of color – that’s where I go when feeling blue!!
It really is amazing how much color can effect your mood! >
I love your colored world.
Thank you Vanessa! >
Lovely pink sky pics. You sparked some ideas, as always. Enjoyed your fun colorful collection!
