The hardest part of painting for me is editing what I see
Food fascinates me not only because I love to cook, but because of all the magical colors and textures
Painting every single detail is not my thing, I’m just not that patient…my style is more impressionistic than realistic
I start with simple shapes and then gradually add details
At this point I was feeling stuck so I grabbed a black fine liner pen to add extra definition
It’s freeing and fun to experiment with different mediums and techniques
I would love to illustrate my own cookbook, so I’m practicing…
It looks a lot like the sweet and sour chicken I make for Chicken Lettuce Wraps!!
No wonder the photo in Food Network Magazine caught my eye!
This is a great summer recipe, loaded with crunchy fresh vegetables, sauteed chicken with a sweet and sour sauce, and cashews 😋
Paint your food and eat it too!
All this talk of chicken reminded me of this “Crazy Chics” floor cloth
I decided crazy chics would be a fun addition to my Society6 Shop , and would make fun girlfriend gifts…
So get a little crazy and Be Fearless!
