Fearless Friday, Pour the Wine

My thoughts and prayers have been with California…

Save the grapes!!

So many have been impacted by the wildfires and devastation on the West Coast…

Let’s have a glass of wine in their honor…

There are so many different types of markers and pens available now

These Chameleon pens are so innovative, each pen has 2 tips and a blending chamber

Touch the nib you want to use to the white blending nib at one end of the pen by inserting it in the chamber in a vertical position for 5-10 seconds

When you apply the color, it starts out very light and progresses to dark

This is a little bit of a process, but it’s tons of fun

There are lots of video tutorials available on the Chameleon website here

A colorless blending pen can be used blend the edges

Once the initial drawing is done, I select the pens and colors I want to use, and make a color chart for quick reference

This chart shows at a glance the color variations, pen tips and effects I can achieve

At this point I incorporated colored pencils too

Combining marker and pencil makes it possible to soften areas and create a wider variety tones and textures

I used the green Chameleon pen for the bottle and the red Chameleon pen for part of the wine

Pour the wine!

It’s about that time!

Be Fearless!
