Fearless Friday, Pumpkin Pickup

Today we’re going to draw and color a pumpkin truck

There’s a free printable for you if you want to follow along

I used markers,

but you can use colored pencils or a combination

First a pencil sketch

Once you are satisfied with the drawing

use a waterproof liner pen to ink your drawing

and erase the pencil

{You can also trace an image if you don’t want to draw}

You can download the free printable here

Let’s color!

I started with the orange letters

and then moved on to the sunflowers

I used 2 shades of brown for the centers

and yellow and golden yellow for the petals

I am using this set of Caliart markers

It is a set of 121 colors, dual tipped alcohol markers,

and very reasonably priced at $42.99

I used yellow and a pale orange

for the highlighted areas on the large pumpkin

and two shades of aqua for the truck

Black checks and black trim

around the rear window and tail lights

I colored the remaining 2 pumpkins with a pale orange and an olive green

When I colored the tires with a dark gray,

I purposedly left streaks of white showing

to look like tire treads

Several shades of lighter grays color the bumper

and red was put on the tail lights

leaving a white highlight

The final touch was a gray shadow beneath the truck to ground it

And just for fun, a sprinkle of black polka dots!
