This is a “dump and dash” dinner…
just dump the ingredients in your slow cooker
and then dash away and do other things~
perfect for this busy time of year!
Pair it with a salad and you’ll have a red & green dinner!
Simple ingredients, chicken, sausage, marinara sauce,
Mozzarella and Parm, pasta and Italian seasoning
Spray or line your slow cooker for easy clean up
Put the chicken into the pot and sprinkle with Italian seasoning
Cover chicken with one jar of sauce and top with browned sausage
then cover sausage with the second jar of sauce
Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours
Near the end of cooking time, cook the pasta*
*I read a variety of recipes with different opinions on this step,
some add the pasta raw and let it cook along with everything else~
I was going to try that, but in the end decided to play it safe
I read alot of reviews that said the pasta wouldn’t cook correctly
Have you ever used raw pasta in a slow cooker?
I would love to hear your thoughts!
Uncover and use 2 forks to shred the chicken~
you can do this right in the pot,
the chicken will probably already be partially shredded
Give everything a good stir
Add drained pasta
Stir to combine
Top with cheeses and stir them in
Replace cover and continue to cook on low for another 20-30 minutes
Dinner’s ready!
