Fearless Friday, Ice Cream Sundae

Rainy dreary weather put me in the mood

for a sunny ice cream sundae!

And this one has zero calories 😊

The is the inspiration photo I used source

I made a detailed pencil drawing

with all the shape patterns of the ice cream,

the dish, umbrella, strawberry, syrup

and glass reflections

Then I started with a few gray shadows on the glass rim

Then the strawberry and red reflections

Next the yellow and orange

More reds and yellows in the dish

Now for some chocolate sauce and darker grays

The umbrella and more shapes and shadows

Then I outlined it with a black .01 fine liner pen to finish

“Ice Cream Sundae” 6″ x 7″ watercolor and ink on 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper

Have you ever tried to draw or paint food?

It’s a lot of fun, give it a try and
