The fall colors are really popping in my area,
let’s try to capture the magic with a fast and loose
abstract watercolor today
I used this photo from Pixabay as my model
I used a large brush loaded with water to wet the paper,
and painted tones of pale yellow down the center for the path
Lime green marked the sides of the path
{the wet paper let it flow into the yellow}
Quinaquidone {golden brown} was added for the shadow areas
across the path
I used a hand held fan to dry the paper*
*I was doing this as more of a sketch rather than a serious painting,
so I painted it in my mixed media sketch book
Use a pad of watercolor paper block or tape down the edges
of a piece of water color paper to prevent it from rippling
Next I added tree trunks in shades of brown,
painting them shorter, lighter, and thinner
as they recess into the distance
Greenery and colored leaves
