These tasty rolls are a combo of pizza and sliders~
Pepperoni, and cheese are tucked into slider buns,
instead of on top a pizza crust,
with the sauce served on the side for dipping
or spooning over the top
They are made with King’s Hawaiian rolls, garlic seasoning,
pepperoni, butter, and Italian cheeses
King’s Hawaiian rolls are cut vertically instead of horizontally
Cut 2 slits into each roll stopping the cut 2/3 of the way down
so they stay together at the bottom
Put one or two pieces of pepperoni into each slit
The pepperoni I used was large so I folded it in half
and then half again
If your pepperoni is smaller tuck in 2-3 pieces
Transfer rolls to baking sheet
lined with parchment if desired, for the rest of the building process
Add a generous amount of shredded Italian cheese
or mozzarella into each slit
You can also use small pieces of Mozzarella slices
Don’t worry if your rolls come apart at the bottom
because the cheese will melt and hold them together
Melt butter and season it with garlic seasoning
or garlic powder and Italian seasoning
Brush or drizzle the garlic butter on top of the rolls
and sprinkle with finely grated Parmesan
Bake the rolls at 400 degrees F for 8-12 minutes
Serve with a bowl of marinara sauce for dipping
or spooning on top
Top with additional finely grated Parmesan if desired
