Pumpkin Personalities!

My husband used to tease me about painting anything

that wasn’t moving…

Like pumpkins!

Since ‘Tis the season right now, let’s paint some pumpkins!

🎃

First, prep your pumpkins

  1. wipe them clean with a sponge and soft cloth
  2. Spray on an acrylic sealer
  3. Paint pumpkin with acrylic paint or spray paint
  4. When paint is dry spray on another layer of acrylic sealer

You can paint pumpkins to match your decor,

like these Patterned Pumpkins I painted for the beach house

Or these MacKenzie-Childs knock off Fanciful Pumpkins

Paint a pumpkin character for your entry to greet trick or treaters~

A cute face perhaps,

just shapes, lines, and white highlights!

Or a Spooky Haunted House!

Have Elvis croon you a tune 🎵

Use a tall pumpkin and add plastic hair or a wig

A Witchy Toad will keep the ghosts away

Paint a pumpkin green,

add eyes and warts with green balls,

green colored paper feet and a witch’s hat

Make a Pumpkin Ice Cream Cone,

it’s not scary at all!

Paint a pumpkin pink with chocolate sauce and sprinkles

Set it in a basket, decorative house trash can or planter

Surround the ice cream base with crushed pink tissue

and top with a piece of cotton and a cherry

Use one of those weird bumpy pumpkins, [ Goosebump pumpkin ]

and make

a Bubbling Witch’s Cauldron

Are you feeling The Seaon of the Witch?

Don’t forget to save any unblemished pumpkins,

they make wonderful holiday decorations!
