Easy Peasy Cheesy Vidalia Onion Dip

Sweet Vidalia onions pair with savory white cheeses, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise and garlic for a delightful party dip that smells and tastes like heaven! Serve it with a variety of dippers and watch it disappear

Equipment

  • 1 1 quart shallow baking dish

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Vidalia or sweet onions
  • 4 oz Asiago cheese, grated {1 cup}
  • 4 oz White Cheddar, grated {1 cup}
  • 4 oz Gruyère, grated {1 cup}
  • 3/4 cup quality rich mayonnaise like Duke's or Hellman's
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Dice the onions and put the pieces into a greased 1 quart baking dish
  • Combine the grated cheeses then add to the onions and gently mix together
  • Top with mayonnaise, Worcesterhire and garlic powder and gently fold them into the cheese and onion mixture, until combined as evenly as possible
  • Dip can be covered and refrigerated at the point for up to 2 days before baking if desired
  • Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered for 35-45 minutes or until golden and bubbling
  • Serve with chips, crackers, toasted bread, celery, romaine scoops, sweet peppers
  • Leftovers can be reheated for serving again or used as a topping for hamburgers or hot dogs
