6-7cupscubed Challah breadbrioche, or croissants, about 10-12 ounces
2cupsmilk
1can21 oz, apple pie filling
4eggs
2/3cupsugar
1tspvanilla
2/3cupBourbon Pecan Caramel Sauce{Stonewall Kitchen} or any thick caramel sauce*
Instructions
Cube bread. Place apple pie filling in a bowl and cut apple pieces to a smaller size. In another bowl whisk eggs with milk, sugar, and vanilla. Add apple pie filling then mix in bread cubes. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Spray or grease a 8″ x 8″ baking dish. Place half of apple mixture in dish and top with half of caramel sauce. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until set in the middle.
Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with additional caramel sauce, ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.

*add a splash of bourbon and/or sea salt to plain caramel sauce for extra flavor
