Mardi Gras King Cake

This festive cake is a breeze to make with canned cinnamon rolls, cream cheese, milk and eggs. Enjoy a little Mardi Gras and make this cake part of the fun! Serve it for breakfast or dessert

  • 9" x 9" casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 8 count, regular size* cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • green, yellow and purple colored sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Cut unbaked rolls into 1/4s and place into a sprayed 9" x 9" baking dish
  • Beat cream cheese with sugar until well combined
  • Add milk, eggs, and vanilla and blend in
  • Pour batter over roll pieces in dish
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until set
  • Let cake cool for 5-10 minutes then ice cake with the icing that came with the rolls. Top with sprinkles
  • Store covered at room temperature

Notes

*if you use Grands cinnamon roll, dish size and baking time will be longer
