Fearless Friday, Gearing Up for Inktober

Daily art challenges are a great way to get in the habit

of daily drawing or painting

It’s fun, and challenges are a great way to improve your skills,

stretch your boundries and learn new things

You can share your art on social media

and be inspired by what other artists are doing

I am going to participate in 2 upcoming challenges,

Inktober and Doodlewash October

I am only going to do one ink drawing/painting each day

because many of the prompts are similar

or can be interpreted for the same subject~

For instance I’m going to do a cake for #1 Dream/Dessert

I will post it with the phrase “I’m dreaming of dessert”

#inktober23 #doodlewash23

For Inktober, you have to use ink but you can add color

Doodlewash challenges are drawing and painting with watercolor

The daily prompts can challenge you to focus on a subject

that might be out of your comfort zone

And that’s part of the fun!

The prompt for this Zentangle rooster was “proud”

The monthly challenge prompts often are seasonal,

like the prompt for the drawing below was “leaf”

Or you can make them seasonal like this Halloween cauldron

for the prompt “bubbles”

I hope you’ll try an art challenge,

and there’s no pressure, you can do it daily

or every now and then, it’s totally up to you!

Be Fearless!
