My son declared that this might be the best dessert I ever made…
I don’t know about that but it was extremely easy
Fun to make, easy to store, and a breeze to serve
These are perfect for a backyard BBQ or a pot luck supper
You could make them in disposable cups for picnics
I used bakery cookies, but any cookie will work
The fillings are a breeze to make, cream, candy chips and a minute or two in the microwave
The layers don’t have to be perfect, it’s all going to be mixed around anyway once your spoon starts spooning 😋
Yes, it’s rich, and yes, it’s sinful, BUT, it’s deceptively small…
okay, sorta small
and the Reese’s peanut butter cups are mini…
You could top these with ice cream instead…
Lots of yummy possibilities!

- Crumble cookies and put in the bottom of jars. I used about 1/2 cookie per jar. .
- Put 1 cup of butterscotch chips in a 2 cup measuring cup. Add 1/2 cup heavy cream. Microwave for 1 minute on high.* Stir. Return to microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Mixture should be smooth and melted enough to pour
- Pour butterscotch over cookie crumbs in 6 jars.
- Repeat the process with remaining butterscotch chips, 1/2 cup cream and remaining jars. You do not have to clean measuring cup before using again.
Notes
Oh, BONUS! You can toss these in the freezer for a later date! Just defrost, then top with whipped cream or ice cream right before serving
