I know a lot of us are spending much more time in the kitchen than usual…
At first we felt like this was a challenge, and we were up for it,
But as we enter week 4 or 5 of isolated living,
Are you getting quite tired of kitchen duty?
Here is a recipe that will fill bellies, tastes good, and requires almost zero effort
Yes! I said ZERO effort!!
All you need is a couple of cans of soup
I used Cream of Chicken and Mushroom Cooking Soup, new from Campbells
but you can use whatever cream soups you have on hand
Give the chops a quick sear in a hot skillet and season with salt and pepper
Mix the soups together in slow cooker
Add chops and push them down into the soup
Slow and low for about 4 hours
Dinner’s ready!
The chops are so tender, they will fall right off the bone
Serve them topped with additional sauce from the slow cooker
SLOW COOK CREAMY PORK CHOPS
Equipment
- slow cooker
Ingredients
- 3 bone in thick pork loin chops
- 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Sear chops over high heat in hot skillet 1-2 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spray or line a slow cooker and add soups. Stir to mix together. Add chops and push down into sauce. Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours. Meat will be very tender, and falling off the bone. Serve with noodles, rice or potatoes and ladle sauce from slow cooker over all.
