Last year I made a Father’s Day tree to honor one of my favorite Dads
This year I decided to make a vignette on the kitchen bar
Things that represent this Dad and his loves,
boating, fishing, grilling
His alma mater is well represented,
along with BBQ seasoning and a Gulf Coast IPA beer
Ornaments representing his love of grilling and all things outdoors
Football of course, and a life guard chair,
Moms and Dads are our “lifeguards” after all…
Surround your favorite Dad with things he loves!
Here are some recipes liked especially by the Dads I know
Start his day off right with Sausage Gravy Biscuit Bake
For lunch, I know he’d love Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs with Pineapple Salsa
Then later, surprise him with a fancy appetizer like this Lobster Tempura with Sweet Chili Aoili
If he loves to grill, treat him to a beautiful steak from a fancy butcher or make him these never fail, delicious, baked in the oven, Chinese Take-out Style Ribs
Serve either steak or ribs with a side of Bacon & Bleu Stuffed Vidalias
And a simple salad like a refreshing Spinach and Watermelon Summer Salad
or a healthy roasted vegetable like Roasted Zucchini and Asparagus Parmesan
Potatoes are a must, guys love their potatoes! HHjr absolutely loves potato casseroles, and making one with frozen hash browns is so easy
