Take-out Tuesday, Triple Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake

š Laissez les bon temps rouler! š
Happy Fat Tuesday!
The last day of indulgences before the Christian season of Lent,
a time when many choose to give up sweets and other treats…
Let’s go all out and celebrate with a Triple Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake!
This was actually HHjr’s birthday cake,
he is not really a dessert eater, but loves cheesecake
This cheesecake is so easy to make you won’t believe it!
Prepare the brownie mix according to the directions on the box
I used Betty Crocker Delights Supreme Triple Chunk Brownie Mix,
chocolate source #1
Next beat the cream cheese with eggs, vanilla and sugar to make the cheesecake
Then stir in chocolate chips,
chocolate source #2
Put the prepared brownie batter into a sprayed 9 or 10″ springform pan
Top with cheesecake batter
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes
Sprinkle with a few more chocolate chips
Reduce oven to 325 degrees and bake for 20 more minutes
Let cake cool completely and then refrigerate
Now, I have to be honest,
when I saw these Baileys Irish Cream baking chips I got pretty excited
but when I tasted them I couldn’t taste the Baileys, just chocolate
I made a simple chocolate sauce with heavy cream, chocolate chips and Baileys
It was delicious but I still couldn’t taste the Baileys…
But the sauce is wonderful anyway…
Save the Baileys for sipping!
The sauce is the 3rd chocolate source of Triple Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake
It might be a chocolate overload!
So sauce, or no sauce…
Baileys or no Baileys,
You won’t be disappointed!
This recipe is adapted from Simply Stacie

TRIPLE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE CHEESECAKE
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix plus ingredients to make them {I used Betty Crocker Delights Supreme Triple Chunk Brownie Mix which calls for 1 egg and vegetable oil}
- 2 8 oz. packages cream cheese softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 8 oz Baileys Irish Creme flavored chocolate chips or chocolate chips divided
Instructions
- Spray a 9 or 10 inch springform pan with cooking spray. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and spread batter in an even layer on the bottom of the springform pan.
- Put cream cheese, 2 eggs, sugar and vanilla into a mixing bowl. Beat together until smooth. Stir in most of the chocolate chips, reserving 1 -2 oz. for adding later. Put cream cheese mixture on top of brownie batter.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Turn oven down to 325 degrees. Sprinkle reserved chips on top and return to oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on counter. Refrigerate until serving. Serve drizzled with chocolate sauce if desired

EASY DREAMY CHOCOLATE SAUCE
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup Baileys Irish Cream {or use a different liqueur like Kalhua or an additional cup of heavy cream}
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat cream for 1 minute on high in a measuring cup in microwave. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside to cool. Refrigerate. Reheat in microwave on 50% power in 30 second intervals until it is drizzling consistency. Use a spoon to drizzle over cake. Makes 1 cup. Store in refrigerator for 7-10 days

Enjoy!

Sheer decadence! I would love this. Happy Birthday to HHjr.
It really is! Thank you Bonnie!
An indulgence and worth every calorie I’m sure Jenna! Thanks for the heads up on the Bailey’s baking chips…I’ll save my calories for sipping. š ā„
Yes, I was disappointed about the Baileys chips, they are good chocolate chips though! Your brownie Valentine bites inspired this cheesecake š
This looks so rich and wonderful I’m sure a little goes a long way, so no guilt! What a delicious treat Jenna. Hope HHjr’s birthday was great! Sending greetings……..
Definitely a little goes a long way! Dangerously easy to make too…thanks Emily
Jenna, I posted a comment. It disappeared!
how crazy, sorry!!
This looks good and I don’t even like cheesecake!
The combo of brownie and cheesecake really works well, thanks Jeanie
Wow! This looks absolutely delicious!
It’s really rich, but it’s really good! Thanks~
That cheesecake looks so good and yummy. Thanks for the recipe Jenna. Happy fat Tuesday!
Thanks Julie, it’s pretty decadent, but great for a special occasion š
I like nice easy cheesecakes… With a little Baileys on the side:@)
I couldn’t believe how easy this was!
This looks absolutely amazing! I’m going to have to try this, but after my doctor’s appointment at the end of the month because I can’t gain any weight. š
š Definitely not diet food!!
Oh this looks indulgent and worth every calorie!
Thanks Nancy, it’s so rich, you really only want a bite or two…
Oh my goodness; that looks fabulous! My son has been looking for a cheesecake recipe that actually requires baking (lately all the ones he finds are for no bake cheesecakes and he wants something more challenging!). I’m going to show him this one. Pinned.
thanks, some cheesecake recipes require a water bath and complicated steps, but this recipe is so easy I couldn’t believe it…also very delicious!
Iāll bet your cheesecake was a big hit for the birthday boy!! It certainly would be for me, Jenna. Thank you for the review of the Baileyās chips. I have seen them, but I think Iāll skip. I do love a sip of Baileyās, however!
I was so disappointed that I couldn’t detect the least little hint of Baileys in the chips, just tasted like chocolate to me! I really liked the brownie and cheesecake combo, it is very rich, but they complement each other well, thanks Kitty~
You can NEVER have too much chocolate! This sounds and looks delicious!
ha ha, well this recipe is certainly a chocolate lover’s dream!
