Party Panache, Spring Charcuterie Spread

We had a perfectly lovely Easter Sunday,
blue skies, bright sunshine and temps in the mid 70s…
It was the perfect occasion to enjoy a charcuterie board on the patio
while we watched the bunnies hunt eggs

I told everyone to come hungry for our afternoon gathering
We nibbled on a Spring charcuterie board and sipped Mimosas

The charcuterie board was more of a charcuterie table,
or should I say
s p r e a d
The largest board I had was not nearly large enough
to hold all the goodies I wanted to serve

I did a mock up of the arrangement with PicMonkey
I love to have a “map” to refer to when I’m planning a buffet
The menu was simple and composed with old favorites
like Fleming’s Bleu Cheese Dip, homemade Pimiento Cheese,
and a new recipe,
Bacon Jam and Asparagus Rolls,
which I’ll share tomorrow…
A bountiful array of vegetables and fruit
AND
HHjr grilled “lamb lollipops”~
a rack of lamb cut into individual chops

The different foods were placed on a mixture of real and faux cabbage leaves
and in flower bowls

The bleu cheese dip is inside a hollowed cabbage,
surrounded by roasted broccoli, cauliflower,
radishes, snow peas and baby carrots

A stemmed glass holds bunny toothpicks for spearing the vegetables
An Easter egg bowl, left,
holds a pan of warm ham rolls with Mustard Butter

A carrot basket holds paper plates and napkins

Just before everyone arrived
I set out the food on the shaded table

Easy Lemon Tartlettes were topped with a sliced strawberry half

A Grande martini glass is full of kid friendly white cheddar cheese puffs

Later in the afternoon, HHjr grilled the lamb lollipops

They were a big hit with the kids and adults alike
The kids thought it was great fun holding the chop by the bone
and walking around eating their “lollipop,”
something I’d never let them do inside!

I surrounded the table umbrella with tulips
and a couple of little surprises

The 4 children found 96 eggs in under 10 minutes!

This was an easy party to clean up too,
paper plates were thrown away~
And very few dishes to wash,
since most of the food was served on cabbage leaves š
I hope you’re having a lovely April!

You have a very beautiful home! The Easter buffet was so professionally set up and everything on the table looks absolutely irresistible! Wish I could reach in and grab some lamb lollipops!!
Thank you Angie, it wasn’t fancy food, I just made it look that way…it was a fun way to entertain and the lamb lollipops were a huge hit!
Jenna, what a lovely Easter afternoon and with the most perfect weather! The spring charcuterie spread looks fabulous and what an easy way to entertain. The grilled lamb lollipops sound delicious. Thank you for sharing, you gave me some wonderful ideas! Your three grandsons are so handsome and CC is beautiful!
Enjoy these beautiful April days!
Thank you Pam, it was so much fun…I can’t believe how grown up my grands are getting, the oldest turns 13 in May and just got his boat drivers license!
I’m jealous, I have to admit, both of the spread and the way your family embraces eating new foods and recipes! It ALL looked wonderful, Jenna. A great and very colorful charcuterie table spread!
Thank you Rita, we had a lot of fun š
Love your menu and your gorgeous table. I know everyone had a fabulous time — and ate very well! it all looks gorgeous. Looking forward to the recipe for those bacon/asparagus wraps!
Thank you Jeanie, the weather really cooperated!
My mercy Jenna! If I am ever in your neck of the woods I am coming to eat with you! Girl, I am starving right now and it all looks so good. I am going back to look at those lemon tartlets. I need to do a Spring board. I love doing things like this but girl…MERCY though….it takes a whole table for my crew! Forget the board! LOL! Love the picture of the kiddos. So precious. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy, it’s a great way to feed a crowd!
What a beautiful family! They are getting so grownup. That spread was amazing and so colorful. And how fun to have a special kind of lollipop!
I am so happy you had a lovely Easter with your beloved family!
Thanks so much Nancy, and yes I can’t believe how fast they are growing up!
Wow, Jenna! What a fantastic party table, oh my goodness that food looks scrumptious!! You certainly know how to throw a party! Isn’t it wonderful to feel ‘normal’ again!!
Thanks Carole and yes, it was wonderfully normal!
A lovely spread Jenna, but how did you serve everything without everyone touching serving pieces or platters? We are having someting in two weeks (after the last of our vaccinations) And, I’m not sure how to serve safely! Hugs, it looks like it was really fun! Sandi
Thanks Sandi, all the adults have been vaccinated, and I provided toothpicks for the fruits, vegetables and sandwiches. One thing you can do is make individual cups or baskets with an assortment of foods so guests just grab a ready made container instead of serving themselves.
Such a beautiful display Jenna, I’m sure it was a marvelous time together. 96 eggs!!!!!!!
Thank you Dorothy!
What a perfect spring spread you set up! The kids are adorable, sure didn’t take them long to find all those eggs! We are having a board week all week long here with a few different things added each day. It’s fun!
Thank you Martha, your week long board sounds great, I know you’re having a ball!
Your charcuterie table looks fantastic….I love the graphic, too. Nice way to plan! Your grands are so cute, Jenna, you are truly blessed!
I didn’t even dye eggs this year….I feel like a loser, lol!
We didn’t dye eggs either, just hid plastic ones…the weather certainly cooperated, and the grands all adore each other, it’s always a lot of fun when we gather…
Beautiful charcuterie board. You are such a wonderful hostess. Goodies galore. I am sure the kids loved everything including finding eggs and their gifts. The graphic is lovely and so special.
Thank you Linda, this was a fun way to entertain, we had much fun!
I love charcuterie! Your tray looks beautiful, and I love the mock up that you did. Iāll be back tomorrow to check out that recipe for bacon jam and asparagus. That sounds amazing, and I have asparagus that I bought, but Iām not quite sure why. š
Thanks Pattie! I love asparagus, such a versatile vegetable, I love it roasted, grilled, in salads, on pizzas, in quiche, any way at all!
Hi Jenna, everything looks so colorful and delicious! I like how you used cabbage rolls to hold some of your food. Your grands are getting big! So happy to hear you enjoyed your Easter. šš¦
Thanks so much Jill, they are growing up! The cabbage leaves really worked well, I will be using them again~
Jenna, what a lovely Easter afternoon. The spring charcuterie spread looks fabulous! We enjoy grilled lamb lollipops very much. Your three grandsons are so handsome and CC is beautiful!

Your charcuterie spread was a great idea, Jenna! Iām so glad that you had a wonderful day. Your grandchildren are beautiful peeps that are really growing up.
Thank you Kitty! Yes, wow, my oldest grand is about to turn 13 and he has a girlfriend!!
Oh boy that looks good! Love the use of the faux and real cabbage leaves for serving. Glad you all had a grand time š
Thank you! The cabbage leaves make wonderful serving “bowls” and then you can just throw them away {or sponge them off} for easy clean up!
