Take-out Tuesday, Slow Cooker Hawaiian Sloppy Joes

I am always looking for dinner recipes that will work for everyone

on busy weeknights when the boys have sports

When I saw Pineapple Sloppy Joes from my friend Pattie @ Olla-Podrida

I knew I found a winner

Sloppy Joes are made with ground beef and a tomato based sauce

and served on a hamburger bun

Because the meat is in the sauce,

they can be messy to eat, hence the name Sloppy Joes

The boys love hamburgers and spaghetti

so I figured they would like these sandwiches

and the addition of pineapple really takes them up a level

This is a super easy Slow Cooker recipe

Put the Hawaiian BBQ sauce* and tomato sauce into the slow cooker

*If you can’t find Hawaiian BBQ sauce in your store,

you can buy it on Amazon here and here and here

Mix in the Sloppy Joe seasoning packet

Then stir in the pineapple

Brown the ground beef, drain and add it to the sauce

Cook on low for 3 hours

Serve on toasted hamburger buns

I used burger sized Brioche buns, they are both sturdy and soft

Everybody loved them!

This recipe is adapted from Olla-Podrida, thanks Pattie!
