Are hot dogs and hambugers part of your summer menu plans?
Amp them up with pineapple salsa!
Even though most people think Mexican and spicy
when salsa is mentioned in the culinary world,
it is actually a term used widely in other languages,
meaning sauce
This wonderful topping is so easy to make,
you can have a Pineapple Cocktail while it’s simmering away
Saute thinly sliced onion and pineapple tidbits
in a little butter & olive oil
This pineapple onion salsa is tangy sweet
and the perfect topping for a smokey grilled burger
with extra sharp Vermont white cheddar
😋
Elevate a simple dog by stuffing it with Pineapple Salsa
and wrapping it in bacon
I cooked these in the oven, but you can definitely put them on your grill
These hot dogs only take minutes to prepare,
and cooking them on a parchment lined baking sheet
makes clean up a breeze
Precook your bacon a little to ensure it gets crispy
Put dogs on a toasted bun and cover with additional salsa
Such a tasty summer meal!
