.
Whether your kids are starting back to school in person or virtually,
it is important that we get back on regular schedules
One of my grandsons is only attending school 2 days a week,
but the other days he has to check in by 8:00
to begin his school day from home
.
.
Today’s recipe is a perfect one for busy days,
It is a fabulous 4 ~
4 ingredients,
fast prep,
family friendly
fills hungry bellies!
.
.
Only 4 ingredients plus seasoning!
.
.
All you have to do is brown the meat,
add it to the sauce, simmer, add biscuits and bake!
.
.
I used a combination of ground chuck and breakfast sausage
.
.
Drain browned meat and return to sauce pan
Add marinara sauce and seasonings
.
.
Cover and simmer on very low heat for several hours to build flavor
Do this ahead of time and refrigerate sauce until needed if desired
Tranfer sauce into a 9″ x 13″ shallow baking dish
Bring to room temperature if cold
.
.
Quarter biscuits
.
.
Place biscuit pieces on top of sauce, spacing evenly
Gently press dough down into sauce
.
.
Sprinkle with Parmesan
.
.
Now, this is where the magic happens…
Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes
.
.
The biscuits rise up and turn golden,
the sauce gets hot and bubbly,
the cheese melts …
.
.
And dinner is ready!
Serve it in a bowl with a fork and/or spoon
.
.
Dig in!
