Tablescapes, Bourbon Street!

If you are lucky enough to live on or visit the Gulf Coast in January and February you will find Mardi Gras in full swing and the “Good Times Rolling”
The street lamps are festive and the stores are full of anything you might need,
an umbrella, a jester
a wig or a hat
You can’t help but come down with a raging case of Mardi Gras fever, and a longing to be on Bourbon Street
Come on, the fun’s just about to begin!
An iconic image of New Orleans is the Bourbon Street sign, Rue Bourbon
I made my own version of a street lamp on Rue Bourbon
Mardi Gras is all about excess, and over the top, crazy fun, so the centerpiece is spilling out
all over the table
Gold for power, green for faith and purple for justice
Revelers wear masks so they can party freely and without a care
No one will know their true identity!
A tree decorated for Mardi Gras is adorned with ribbon, masks, and cocktail ornaments
A painted Crown Royal whiskey bottle joins beads, coins and crowns
A jester’s hat is at the base of the street lamp and an overturned green crystal trifle bowl holds a fat gold dotted candle
Piles of bright beads
Chairs dressed up for a party
In the far corner, over by the stairs
is another vignette
This mask is a new treasure this year, just in case I get invited to a ball, I can be a reveler 🙂
The alligator head beads were thrown to Super Boy last year
The tree has tiny lights to make the evening glow

Laissez les bon temps rouler Jenna! What fun your overflowing centerpiece is on your Bourbon Street table, and I love your Crown Royal Bottle painted Mardi Gras-style! I wish that MG didn’t follow so quickly on the heels of Valentine’s Day this year. Looking forward to breaking out my festive glasses 🙂
Love your CR bottle and especially the “street light!” I love my little stemless glass that I won, and they are sitting on my coffee table in a gold mirror tray.
thanks Ellen, enjoy your glasses!
What a fun, fun, fun table to celebrate at…New Orleans is my favorite city! Love the CR bottle and wine stems.
thanks so much Marigene!
This is one of my favorite tablescapes Jenna! Love the fun and colors of Mardi Gras. Your napkins are fantastic, I know another bloggy buddy that would probably die to have them! You already know I love the little tree too-have fun:@)
What a fun tablescape! I love Mardi Gras and lived in NOLA for several years…it really is something else!
I have no doubt you’ll be invited to some amazing ball so that you can show off your mask AND your dance moves! Party on, Garth!
This is a rockin’ table for Mardi Gras! I really like the street lamp! You have captured so much of the spirit of the French Quarter and the traditions of Mardi Gras! You are 100% ready to let the good times roll!
hey Alycia, it’s so nice to hear from you! I will probably not make any rockin dance moves but hey, you’ve got to dream! Hope you are healing and getting stronger every day~
Wow, such colors! I might just have to see if I can do a Mardi Gras table too…I have always wanted to do a mardi gras christmas tree….I’ll have to see if I have enough gold to do a table. Your sis just wonderful! Love that crown royal bottle and the street light. Great job!
Yes, true to Mardi Gras style, your table is over-the-top. Looks like fun! 🙂
Love it…bright, colorful, perfect for Mardi Gras.
Gorgeous! Love all the detail. So clever how you painted and decorated the Crown Royale bottle. Love it all…
Thanks Valerie!
You have thought up everything to make Fat Tuesday just perfect and festive!
What a fun table to look at – truly, everything is just too much FUN!
Thanks so much Michele!
Jenna, look at all that fabulousness on your table! You are ready to celebrate!
Thanks Debbie, much appreciated!
Leave it to you to have all the fun and fanciful stuff for Mardi Gras. It’s going full swing in Galveston, but we stay away from the crowds and enjoy all of the activity vicariously.
Your tablescape is dazzling! Love it! What a great job you did with your bourbon street sign and I would have never thought to paint a crown royal bottle, how clever! I wish I was talented enough to make my own. Thanks for sharing!
thanks Jennifer, we love Mardi Gras and I tend to go all out 🙂
