Tablescapes, Mother’s Day Memory Table with Photograph Runner

Mother’s Day can be emotional roller coaster
Blessings, memories~bittersweet times…
I never had a soggy breakfast in bed… but one Mother’s Day I did get a midnight report from a 16 year old about a speeding ticket… 😳
The only things that are important are the wonderful memories, the good ones. The joys we have from being a family
I rounded up some of my favorite photos from around the house
My children and grandchildren, parents and grandparents, and beloved pets
I set the places with wedding gift pewter and china plates
Wedding silver and crystal, and my grandmother’s silver goblets, Mixing Old and New, to respect tradition and give a nod to the present
Some treasured trinkets dot the spaces in between photos
Baby cups, porridgers and keepsakes from the past
Everything comes together in this dining room where we’ve shared meals, parties, special occasions and laughter for 25 years
Nothing is more fun to me than a lively meal at the dining room table
These photos are bound to create lots of conversion and visits down memory lane
One of my favorites is this photo of HHjr carrying SuperBoy after he went exploring the beach during DD’s wedding. So many priceless memories this one photo conveys…my handsome son being SuperDad, my daughter’s beautiful wedding day and so many friends and family joining us on our favorite beach…
So round up your photos and savor the old while you create the new!

What a wonderful idea and runner filled with framed photographs and memories Jenna! I had to chuckle over your midnight speeding ticket report 🙂 I love the blend of old and new of your wedding china and silver and the varied mix of your place setting with the painted chargers and different napkins. I love those little vases of blooms hanging from your chandy too 🙂
Wow so beautiful. You went I a lot of effort and I’m sure enjoyed every memory as you placed pieces. 😃

Lovely idea Jenna, The mix of old and new and the sentiments conveyed in each photograph will have your children chatting together about their memories of growing up. I am imagining that there will be stories told and lots of laughter to make for a very memorable Mother’s Day.
