Tablescapes, First Signs of Fall

Have you experienced the first signs of fall?
Has the temperature dropped where you live at all?
We are still blasting the AC
and suffering high humidity
The only thing I’ve noticed are the shorter days
And the changing angle of the sun’s rays…
I think the light turns magical this time of year
The colors are changing as autumn draws near
Time for gathering pumpkins, apples and such
and getting together to enjoy every fall touch
I enjoy transitioning to fall ever so much!

Jenna, We had temperatures drop to the 80s this weekend but we’re back in the 90s and it’s dry with no rain in sight this week. I’m beyond ready for fall. Love your transitional table in shades of autumn. Your wee owl placecard holders are a hoot 🙂
Trees are changing and so is the light. It happens too quickly in Maine where summer is a very short season.
Yes, yes, yes to everything you wrote so perfectly!
I think everyone is extra ready for fall this year Marty! >
We had such a great Summer, cooler than usual, then the last couple of weeks, we began getting typical Summer in St Louis weather. This week we are promised Fall. I am more than ready! It’s my favorite.
Lucky you Pat! The only reason I don’t like fall is that winter is right behind it! >
Fall is my favorite time of year, except for christmas time. You’ve put me in the mood to start planning fall meals!
Oh good! I can’t wait to see what you cook up! >
Still very much summer here! We are having temps higher than we had all summer. Not a sign of Fall here, no one has changed from their summer decor. I can wait, Fall is a long season, and then the dreaded winter!
Forgot to say your table looks lovely!
Thanks Kathleen. nothing like a little retail therapy to lift sweaty spirits! >
Hi, Jenna. Thank you for your fall table. It is so hot here in So. CA (99 again!) that I still haven’t gotten my fall stuff unpacked and your table reminds me that this heat WILL pass and I can start my fall decorating. Love your pumpkin bowls and owl placecards! And your centerpiece as well!

Thanks Rosie, I think we are all heat weary! Pulling out fall stuff helped me think cool thoughts 🙂 >
Not really much fall season here in Texas…but I know it is coming. Yipee. Tablescape is gorgeous as always.
Gorgeous post, Jenna. I LOVED your pumpkins on the round turquoise table yesterday, too. I think it’s my favorite time of year….If it could just last a little longer that it does. I’m not a real fan of wintertime, even though it isn’t as bad as it could be down here in our part of the world.
Judy
Thank you Judy, I’m with you, winter winter stay away!! >
Hi Jenna – Not that I’m stalking your blog or anything, but I’ve been waiting with baited breath for you to post your fall tablescape. I knew it would be absolutely gorgeous and you hit it out of the park! Happy fall! Happy pumpkins! I hope your week is as wonderful as you are! Hugs, Holly
Aren’t you sweet Holly, I am just getting started, my heart will be more into it if it ever drops below 90 around here 🙂 >
Fall has always been my favorite season! I’m with you in waiting for the humidity to pass… I only have a colorful fall leaf tablecloth out so far, your setting is cute:@)
Very pretty. I love your fall colors.
Sheila
thank you Sheila, I’m trying to seduce fall into coming our way 🙂 >
Love, love, love your blog. Wish you lived on one side of us and Priscilla lived on the other side!
ha! thank you Patricia! So appreciated!
Love the earthy tones of autumn! Beautiful tablescape and very inviting, as usual, Jenna! Bring on anything closely resembling fall weather!! ha!
Beautiful fall table, Jenna! I am excited for cooler temps this weekend!
We must live in similar climates because it’s blazing hot here also! It doesn’t stop either of us from setting a nice fall table, and I love yours! Score!
Today I’ve gotten a chill here in Michigan and these Fall decorations are right up my alley. So pretty and festive. Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty

Oh this is such inspiration for me Jenna. Loving all your fall accents for this tablescape, especially the little pumpkins. Great color and texture in the centerpiece. Spot on for fall, love it!
Have a great week………..
Thanks Emily, I couldn’t resist those pumpkin bowls and couldn’t wait to use them! >
I love your tablescape. Fall is my favorite season and your table says everything about Fall being awesome. I love the square plates combined with the round ones, lovely juxtaposition. The woven pumpkin in your centerpiece has such great texture, a nice change from all of the artificial ones I usually use. I will have to look for some different textured ones like that. I will be pinning to a couple of boards and sharing over at FB, G+ and Twitter. Thank you so much for coming and sharing at Celebrate it Sunday. I hope to see you there again this week. Hugs! Chloe
I live in south Ga. so we are still experiencing temps in the low 90’s and lots of humidity. But at least the nights are getting cooler so I’m ready to start the fall decorating! I love your blog and always enjoy your table settings so much.
Beautiful table as we begin to see signs of fall. I’m seeing leaves that have fallen on my deck. Still experience lots of hot days but I know Fall is approaching.
I’ll have to take your word for it, it’s 99 in Alabama today! >
NO…I don’t want fall yet!! I see it in the stores, but don’t feel it in the air yet! I will admit that I love autumn decorating, however I refuse to do it until mid September! I do miss wearing jeans (haven’t had on a pair since May!
Now I get it! I’ve been wondering why I suddenly come to the end of the day, and I’m not finished! Shorter days must be the reason, and I’d forgotten about that. Looks like I’ll need to get out of bed earlier! It’s too soon for me, but I love how you’ve brought out your “lighter” pumpkins and sprinkled them with apples and other early fall things.
ha ha!! I did just buy a pumpkin pillow and am making myself wait until Sept 1 to put it out! Thanks Kim!
Yes, we are in a heatwave right now (will be in the 100’s for the next couple days) but the first signs of Fall are already here. I am trying to enjoy “Faded Summer” before welcoming Autumn, but the heat is making it hard not to wish for cooler weather! Your table is lovely and so inviting!
Thank you Janet, we are under an excessive heat warning right now too, I love summer but I’m ready for a change! Thanks for stopping by, stay cool!
