Tablescapes, Pumpkins, Feathers and Leaves

What is your Thanksgiving tradition? We have been going to HH’s sisters house for Thanksgiving for decades, but this year everyone is going their separate ways… sniffle, sniffle… 😢
BUT! This means our family can be at the beach house for Thanksgiving 😎
I couldn’t wait to see what I could come up with…I did have a few pumpkins and some burlap to play with
I found these feather sprays and gold leaves at the local 5 & 10
Along with this bark blossom
I don’t have a lot to choose from for the place settings
But it’s fun to stretch the creative thoughts and improvise
I really had to s t r e t c h… I’m going to need to go shopping…
Most of the things I have are brightly colored
Or adorned with shells…
The Crabby Pumpkin barely escaped carving on Halloween~
So now he proudly sits in the golden autumn leaves, and is a Grateful Pumpkin!
I moved the vignette to the island to try it out
Added some shells and driftwood
and a shell candelabra
hmmmmm…
Do you have any ideas for a coastal Thanksgiving?
I did make a Pinterest board, Coastal Thanksgiving, to help me collect ideas, thoughts and recipes. It will be a busy weekend as we will be watching the Egg Bowl {Ole Miss vs Miss St} and the all important Iron Bowl {Alabama vs Auburn} so we will need lots of food!

Pumpkins by the seashore and a coastal Thanksgiving sounds wonderful to me Jenna! Have fun planning, I know your celebration will be delicious and creative 🙂
Pumpkins and seashells, making the most of a coastal Thanksgiving. Very creative.
Beautiful…I love how you added the coastal feel to the pumpkin centerpiece. Something that I always struggled with when I lived in Florida. If you can’t be at the “traditional” place for Thanksgiving, what a way to celebrate it at the beach. I would so love that!…Can’t imagine how wonderful the dinner will be with you as the chef!!!
Thanks Shirley, I am always twiddling my thumbs on Thanksgiving when I’m not the hostess 🙂 >
Oh wow, the seashore and pumpkins sounds divine to me!!!!! I love how you added the shells to the pumpkin vignette. Oh no, you’ve got to shopping! Well there are so many places for you to go shopping down there. The weather is nearly always perfect at the beach around Thanksgiving. Hmmm, I wonder if I could get everyone to my happy place for Thanksgiving, the beach!
Thanks Emily! We just got home from 3 weeks on the coast, still like summer down there, heaven! We are going to turn around and go back quickly! We haven’t spent Thanksgiving at the beach in years, it’s kind of strange, but so much fun! I know you just got back from a dreamy trip, but I hope you can arrange a beach trip soon! >
You always have the perfect blend of seasonal decor with touches of the beach! Your table looks divine. Enjoy making new family Thanksgiving memories at your beach house ~ we definitely will be at our cabin for Thanksgiving, but I’m already thinking up ideas for some beach time during Christmas when my kids come home!!!! Yay!
Incorporating coastal elements with traditional fall pieces is perfect. I’m guessing your Thanksgiving gathering at your second home will be a delight made more so by your creative touches.
And for laugh-out-loud hilarity, please go see this pin for a Thanksgiving turkey at the beach! LOL

OMG Joanne, who thinks of this stuff! Thanks so much for sharing, I pinned it to my board just for giggles 🙂 I’ll be showing it to my “chef” for inspiration! >
Although I live in a beach front community, it is our year round home so I don’t incorporate beachy into my decor. Also, by Thanksgiving it will be cold, so no one is thinking beach! I know you have warm temps where you are! The most important thing is having your family with you! White plates go with everything and you can bring some linens from home. Your centerpiece is perfect for a wonderful Tgiving at the beach. Many blessings!
You are so sweet Kathleen! Yes, I am going to buy some more white dishes, great advice, and I do love an excuse to shop for “necessities” 🙂 With 1 baby, 2 toddlers and a little boy, it will be casual dining at best! Blessings to you and your family too! >
I always pick up a tip or two from your posts…this time it’s the “nest” of paper shred that you used under the little pumpkins. How clever. Pretty all the way around, as always.
Judy
Thanks so much Judy! >
Enjoy your different Thanksgiving this year! I know you’ll have fun pulling it all together:@)
Beautiful centerpiece and love all of the burlap looks. Great table!
Jenna, the beach at Thanksgiving sounds wonderful to me! Loved your coastal touches with the pumpkin centerpiece…so creative! I will be expecting new recipes for this Thanksgivng feast!
Beautiful table. Love the feathers. I have been wanting to incorporate some feathers in a tablescape. Love your post!
Gorgeous table. I love all your details. I have been wanting to use some single feathers in a tablescape for fall. Love what you have done!
Painted Apron,
Our family Thanksgiving Tradition consist of a homecooked meal that is shared by the four of us.
Every other year we rotate hosting within our home. This is our year to host!!!
I’m looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving in our home!!!
Would love to help with suggestions for a Coastal Thanksgiving,
but I’m a “land locked” Midwesterner!!!
May your Thanksgiving bring special new memories this year, dear one!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Thanks for sharing at Cooking and Crafting with J&J.
Thank you Julie! >
Seeing all your pumpkins makes me very anxious to get to Beth’s Market to load up. They do make it easy to create a great table just as you have done.
