The Jammin’ Cheese Danishes were such a hit I decided to try another version
with baked apples and maple icing, and maple bacon garnish
So easy to make with canned crescent roll dough and Stouffer’s baked apples
The maple icing is super simple to make also
and the bacon on top makes them extra irresistible!
These are perfect for fall brunches and weekend breakfast treats
It’s hard not to eat the icing by the spoonful!
Leave the raw dough roll in tact and slice it into 8-10 rounds
Heat the butter and maple syrup in a small sauce pan
When the butter has melted stir in the sugar and set aside to cool
Place dough rounds on parchment lined baking sheet
Use your fingers to form them into bowls
Stir cream cheese with sugar and vanilla
Spoon cream cheese filling into bowls, pushing down into dough
Top with heaping spoon of apples
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until dough is cooked through and golden
Let cool a bit before drizzling with maple icing
Garnish with bacon crumbles and enjoy!
