Gifts from the Kitchen, Galentine Cups & Mugs

It’s fun to give special people in your life a little treat,
Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day is the perfect occasion!
Fill a mug or teacup with a few Valentine treats
It’s like a mini gift basket, as fun to make and give, as it is to get!
For these gifts I used a vintage teacup, a large coffee mug,
a mercury glass votive holder, and a ceramic heart shaped cup and saucer
I gathered my stash of Valentine things,
plus Starbucks Vanilla Latte and Peppermint Mocha Latte mixes
I added a few recent purchases from Home Goods {marshmallows and candy}
and Target {gift bags and chocolate truffles}
Small treat bags were filled with marshmallow and gum drop hearts
and tied with shiny ribbon
I cut heart straws into different lengths
to hold the lollipops for inserting into the cups
And then the fun began as I filled the cups
with a mix of candies, straws, cupid picks and treats
No two are alike
The mug got a special “You are my best friend ornament”
and a heart marshmallow stick
The teacup has goodies inside and out
A bag of heart marshmallows, a lollipop, straws, latte mix
with a chocolate truffle and a Creme Brûlée square on the saucer
The mercury glass votive holder has a similar mix of items
Plus a cupid and a paper Text me heart {made with PicMonkey}
The ceramic heart teacup holds a pink package of 2 white chocolate truffles
along with latte mix, straws and individual chocolates
Even though they all are filled with basically the same things,
isn’t it fun that they all look so different?!
Notes:
Wrap marshmallows in clear plastic wrap to preserve freshness
Gift wrap the cups with clear paper and tie with a bow on top
Tie a card or note to the cup handle

Here’s a few more ideas,
paint a glass or a plate with hearts or
paint hearts on mini canvases and “frame” them with ribbon

Have fun!!

Thank you Ann, we can be pretend Galentines 🙂 Have fun making some gifts {the hardest part is not eating the chocolates!}
Your posts are always the first thing I read in the mornings. Even though we can’t be “in person” friends, I need your creativity, sense of humor and visual inspiration every day. In my perfect world, we would be next door neighbors & friends for life. Happy Valentines Day, Jenna, and thank you for all that you share!
Aren’t you the sweetest! That makes me so happy, I appreciate your kinds words and so glad to inspire! Wouldn’t it be fun to be neighbors! ❤️
Wonderful ideas for friends! Jenna, I love the heart shaped cup and saucer. Anyone would feel really special to receive one of your treats❤️
Thanks Pam, I’ve had that heart shaped cup forever, no idea where it came from!! Looks like a beautiful day today!
These are just cute as can be, Jenna, and as elaborate or expensive as one might choose to make them! I love this post so very much!
Oh good! Yes, because they are small, you don’t need but a few goodies to fill them up! Just an easy little happy…
One of my favorite Valentine Days was when I had a Galentine luncheon for my mother-in-law and a couple of her friends at the retirement home. Their sweethearts were long gone and the day wasn’t so special anymore. I picked them up and brought them to my house and that alone was a treat — an outing away from the home and not en masse with the group there. I invited a couple of my friends as well and we had a frilly ladies’ luncheon with appropriate decor and food for the occasion, ending with chocolate mousse and small cordial glasses of chocolate wine and of course they each got little party favors to take home. My friends enjoyed the stories from the older ladies and we all had a wonderful time. Mom is gone now but that is still one of my favorite memories with her.
Love your little gifts. Wish I had a chance to have the luncheon again. Your gifts would be perfect.
Oh goodness Sara, what a beautiful story! That is THE sweetest thing ever! It is amazing how much even a small gesture can mean, thank you for sharing!
