Tablescapes, Dinner with an Octopus

Today is all about stress relief…

Sit back, relax and feel the sea breeze

We’re going to have dinner with an octopus if you please!

He’s not on the menu, just on the plates

Let’s have some fun, and dinner awaits!

He’s very friendly, all jiggles and legs

Come and sit here, he practically begs

It’s easy to unwind in this sea of blue

Just clear your mind and enjoy the view

When you watch the boats floating by

Things feel better already, you think with a sigh…

Seashells, and bottles decorated with glass

The troubles we face today, they too will pass…

May you find a way

to have peace in your heart today

Now that’s an octopus I wouldn’t mind having dinner with! I love those colors!

  2. Jenna, I love your table for two. I would love to join you at our gorgeous Alabama Gulf Coast. The octopus plates are so adorable, the table is boatloads of fun, and your rhyme is so perfect. I need a little fun today. Have you ever eaten octopus? I have had it a few times at my favorite restaurant in Birmingham. Wishing you a lovely day!

First off your view is incredible but your rhyming is so darling. And your table is set with such adorable Octopus Plates which bring me nothing but happiness.
    Happy Weekend my friend!

  10. I absolutely adore your octopi and sea horses! Beautiful table!

  11. I love those colors too, but those dishes are gorgeous!

I chastise myself frequently for not setting pretty tables, but honestly, most days it’s all I can do to serve food on a paper plate. Seems like I am always washing dishes and there’s only two of us.

What a great table with all the soft blues and turquoise, love the beach vibe. Your poem was very sweet as well. Still loving those forks and still want to make those! 😉

  13. Lauren S says:

Adorable! What a fun table; it’s sure to chase away the blues. But not the aquas .HaHa. I love the octopus plates. What is the source for them?

    • ha, cute! I got them at HomeGoods a few years ago…if I don’t source something it’s usually because I’ve had it for a while and don’t know if it’s still available, thanks Lauren
