Creations, Snowy Winter Wreath

Welcome to the December edition of the Creative Craft Blog Hop!
Thank you to Andrea from Design Morsels for being our hostess
If you’re here from My Thrift Store Addiction, Welcome!

We don’t get much snow in Alabama,
but I love to celebrate the four seasons anyway I can,
so I made this wintery wreath…
Come January it will replace the Christmas one on the front door

I had a tired, green grapevine wreath in my stash

I spray painted it white and then added a layer of silver spray paint

I added a wire garland of glass beads* around the perimeter
*{Pottery Barn years ago}

Digging again through my craft and decor stash,
I chose some sprigs of cotton boles
because the fluffy white cotton reminds me of snow

Then I added a few bottle brush trees and a large pine cone

As much as I liked the pine cone,
I had my heart set on a snowman…
more digging….
and found this one, a perfect fit!
He looked quite happy to participate!

I tucked some trees around him and secured everything with hot glue*
*go back and secure with a more weatherproof glue like E6000
if the wreath is going to be outside

I added a black and white checked and a silver ribbon for a final touch
When January arrives I will greet it with this Snowy Winter Wreath!

It is so much fun to create with things you already have!

Jenna, Your snowman wreath is so adorable and ready to welcome those winter snowflakes! I can’t believe you already had all the makings in your stash, including your cute snowman! I was wishing yesterday all our cold rain was snow. Happy Thursday ♥
thank you Mary, I have way to many things in my craft stash, I need to do some major spring cleaning in 2021!
Jenna, I lost my first comment…Your snowman wreath is so adorable and ready to welcome those winter snowflakes! I can’t believe you already had all the makings in your stash, including your cute snowman! I was wishing yesterday all our cold rain was snow. Happy Thursday!
This is one of the cutest winter wreaths I’ve seen, Jenna! How creative! It certainly is a fun way to welcome Winter!
Thanks so much Gail!! I can’t wait to hang it up!
That’s very cute! Of course, you know how much I love your Winter Moon and other winter art from Society6. 😉
Aww, thanks so much Rita!
This is just darling, Jenna! The snowman has so much personality–pinned! Merry Christmas! Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
thanks so much Cecilia!
He is so cute, and the perfect little guy to welcome in the New Year!
thank you!
Not sure what happened to my first comment, Jenna???
This wreath is perfect for the New-Year.
Good tip for the glue ;0
Merry Christmas,
hugs,
RR
thanks Rachelle!
Bravo, Jenna! Another creative winner! I love this wreath and it’s perfect for welcoming the New Year!
Thank you Rosie!!
This is so cute! I agree, I love a wreath that I can keep up through the winter. Your sweet little snowman is adorable!
thanks Chloe!
Cute as can be! I love using the cotton balls on one of my winter wreaths — they’re like little snowballs! This is darling!
Yes, they are like snowballs, thank you Jeanie!
Jenna, your snowman winter wreath is adorable! I love all your material and embellishment choices, like the PB garland and that cutie pie snowman of course! Living in Alabama, I particular think the fluffy cotton is the perfect substitute for snow. We got 9 inches since yesterday, I’ll be happy to ship you some lol!
Oh goodness, no thank you, keep the snow up there please!! Thank you Debbee!
Jenna your snowman wreath is adorable. My sister-in-law would go crazy over him as would I. Love working with things you have on hand. I live in Alabama as well so I know about not having all 4 seasons but hopefully we will see snow this winter, maybe just for a few hours. Merry Christmas!
Thanks Terrie, I hope all we get is flurries, I am not a fan of the big snow shut downs in Alabama, I would rather just pretend 🙂
Cute as a button Jenna! That’s a great craft stash you have 🙂
Happy holidays!
Thank you!
Your wreath is so festive and fun. Love that it can be kept up all season too. Happy Holidays friend, and so lovely crafting with you.
thank you Chas, happy holidays to you too!
I wish I had a stash like yours that had all the fixings for that wreath, it is so cute!
thanks so much Karen!
Jenna, that is the cutest winter wreath. We may not see snow, but it has been cold for a few days. I wish I had a stash so I could create magic, well it probably wouldn’t be magic 😂
Thank you Pam, my stash is really ridiculous, I need to do some serious purging in January!
Adorable! This came together so lovely! A fabulous winter wreath!
No snow here unless I head north to higher elevation!
Merry Thursday!
thank you Nancy, fun quick craft!
What a cute snowman. He makes the wreath. This is so cute and cheerful and boy do we need it this year. Thanks for hopping along with us. Merry Christmas.
Thanks so much Andrea!
Jenna, Sooo cute! You’ve given me ideas. I’m pretty sure that I have a snowman that I could use to make a wreath with. Merry Christmas!!!
Oh good!!! Happy creating! Merry merry Christmas Rhonda!
Jenna, your wreath is absolutely adorable! I love it, and it will not only look great during the Christmas season, but also during the winter months as well. I’m always trying to think of what to decorate with after Christmas. This would be perfect! I hope you are having a most merry week!
Thank you Shannon, I have been enjoying my Christmas decorations so much this year, I am already planning on changing it over to sparkly winter decor so I can continue to keep things cheery! I wish you a very merry week too! 🎄
Yes, your snowman does look quite happy to participate! I’ve pinned your wreath. Yes, I love crafting with what I have or what has been given to me— sometimes it takes the fun out if I have to buy something! (other times I’m quite pleased to spend money on good deals….)
Thank you Liberty! It is hard to believe it’s almost Christmas and that we will soon be saying Happy New Year! Cheers to good deals!
Jenna, I have to say that I’ve been grateful for my crafting supply hoard this year! I can go a week without leaving the house, so it’s been nice to have the supplies on hand for blog projects. Your snowman wreath is adorable! It will be the perfect door decor until Spring! Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much Rebecca, and yes, it is wonderful fun to create with what you have!
That is so darling, Jenna! I love the cotton and crystal balls! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Thanks so much Barbara, and you too!
How nice it must be to live somewhere where snow isn’t much of an issue! Here in the Kansas City area, we are always on high alert from November through March and beyond. It’s icky. If it was just a soft, lovely blanket that never seems to get dirty like in the movies it would be different. This stuff…just a nuisance, a health hazard, and a nightmare for driving!!!!! But the cotton replacement is sweet and pretty and NOT hazardous to your health. Very nice!!!!
Thanks Alycia, I am grateful we don’t have to deal with snow, try to stay cozy up there!
Jenna, your snowman wreath is so sweet. It’s perfect for after Christmas with its wintery vibe and soft colors. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you Carol, Happy Holidays to you too!
Jenna, I love your snowman wreath. The little trees look wonderful. A simple project, but so darn cute. Enjoy the weekend.
Thank you, I can’t wait to hang it up!
This is so cute! I love the snowman and bottlebrush trees!
thank you Kristin!
Your wreath is so adorable, Jenna!! ❄️⛄️❄️
