Creations, Decorative Artist’s Palette

I found this colorful rainbow wreath of flowers with a palette

on Pinterest and thought it would be so much fun to make

I decided to just make the palette for right now,

and use it to decorate my studio

This palette board came with a table top easel box I bought to use

for small drawings and paintings

I looked through my craft stash and found some flat sided glass “stones,”

a ribbon, bright flowers and paint

I painted the stones in a rainbow of colors,

much like the colors I would lay out on a palette when painting

When the paint was dry, I glued them onto the palette board

I selected 3 worn out brushes and glued them down on one side

A simple bow of checked ribbon was secured with wire in the center

and the wire was then used to attach the flowers

I glued the bow and flowers to the palette just below the hole

It looks pretty cute on my easel!

When I’m not painting, I’m going to use it on my easel for decoration

My art studio is located in what used to be the breakfast nook off the kitchen

It is the main pathway to the patio from the house

so when I’m not working I keep it as neat and tidy as I can

I love it!

  1. Really nice…the rainbow colours just brighten me up in this grey rainy day! Happy Sunday, Jenna! Love your white vintage dresser.

    • Thank you Angie, the front of the dresser opens up into a desk where I have lots of art supplies stashed and use the desk when I’m painting…then when I’m done I just close it up and it’s out of sight, very handy!

  2. This project is so fun!!…So very creative as usual Jenna…Must say I love the gorgeous wreath too! Have a great day Jenna!!!

  3. Aw, Jenna….first what a wonderful workspace, and yes, what a cute idea. Amazing where one gathers inspirations from. I’m mentally working on some mosaic projects and I’m loving all the colors you use, and I’m sure you will be my inspiration for something! Hugs, Sandi

That is so cute Jenna! I love that you are set up in the breakfast nook too, it has to be nice to be able to see things you are working on all the time too. You have it looking very pretty in between too. 🙂

I enjoy artists palettes so very much. I have a very large palette my brother used when painting. I have it displayed at the LakeHouse. This really came out beautifully and adds to your studio nicely.
    Happy Sunday Jenna!

    • Thanks Nancy, how wonderful to have your brother’s palette on display! My painting palette is always a mess after I get started so I enjoy looking at this nice neat one!

  9. Jenna, I love this palette and it really dresses up the easel. Your studio is in a beautiful spot! Enjoy the week, cooler temps by the end of the week!
