Thanksgiving Pumpkins & Pickups!

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop

hosted by my sweet friend Rita from Panoply

My table is all about pumpkins and pickup trucks this year

All things black and white just seemed to appear!

It all was inspired by these sweet little plates

Once I found them, all I could think about was a tablescape,

and could hardly wait!

The centerpiece is a painted Little Red Truck MacKenzie-Childs Makeover

The back is full of pumpkins about to spill over!

This non traditional table is informal and fun

Our family is actually going to be at the beach house

enjoying the surf and the sun

Black metal turkeys hold plaid napkins spread like their feathers

They are such fun to use for Thanksgiving get-togethers!

If you look closely pilgrims and turkeys can be found

All over the room, pumpkins abound!

The candlesticks proudly hold pumpkins on top

At nightime they can hold candles, with a quick easy swap

I hope you’ve enjoyed a little non traditional fun today

and I’ll be sending you best wishes from the coast on Thanksgiving Day!

Such a fun tablescape to set using those adorable plates. Love the truck full of pumpkins for your centerpiece and of course the black and white which looks wonderful with fall color. I’m sure you can’t wait to spend this wonderful holiday at the beach with your family.

  3. Love this table! The little checkered pumpkins are my favorite.

Jenna your table top and poetry are right on as usual. I always look forward to your prose. 🙂 You did a great job on the pick-up…no one would guess it was not purchased that way. I used paper plates on my Thanksgiving table this year too…Sometimes one can not beat, not only the price, but the many variations to choose from. We will also be away to a college basketball tourney on Thanksgiving Day so we are having our celebration dinner with friends a little early!
Hugs and Blessings my dear friend.

  7. It’s all fun-fun and I especially love the little turkey napkin holders. I just love this time of year! I spied “Liberty Blue” – in the list of your friends. It’s my pattern, and it pops out at me like your own name glows in a list. I can’t wait to visit that blog and the others!

  8. What a fun table, Jenna. I love all the details darling plates and pretty glasses! I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  9. Being a lifelong Missouri resident, I just KNEW that anything called pumpkins and pickup trucks would appeal to me!😁 Yup! Darn tootin’! This is fun and different and full of “movement” with the checks! You’ve painted up some pretty cool accessories to go with! Enjoy your time on the coast for Thanksgiving as we shiver through what is no doubt going to be a blustery and chilly day here in the Midwest!

  13. Jenna, your table is so cute. Of course I am so partial to Mackenzie Child’s Courtly Check. Your little red truck is so adorable. Your ability to transform items is amazing. Love the way it turned out. Even the glasses have your magic touch. The plates are a great inspiration. black and white pumpkins are so sweet. Pumpkins and Pickup trucks is a darling theme. I know your Thanksgiving will be fabulous with lots of yummy food.

What a fun post! I would have found those plates inspiring as well. You really knocked me out with the Mackenzie Childs truck makeover. I also love those turkey napkin rings, as well as the painted stemware. As for the text, very poetic. :-p

Your hand painted turkey and pilgrim glasses are delightful. As usual your rhyming is so impressive.
Those Thanksgiving plates were a great find. Love your tablescape.
Enjoy your family celebration on Thanksgiving.
You were so sweet to mention my daughter’s painting on my blog. Thank you.

  18. Debbee says:

Jenna, no one transforms and enhances an object with a paintbrush as you do! Adore the MC paint job on that adorable truck and how it fits in with the plates and all the other black and white elements on your cute table. Like those neat metal napkin rings. Are the pilgrim couple painted glasses new this year, or did I somehow miss them from an earlier post? They are soooo sweet! Have a wonderful holiday at the beach!

  19. Ricki Treleaven says:

Jenna, your theme of pumpkins and pick-ups is so cute. I love your little painted pick-up truck! I also like the black and white theme, especially with your MacKenzie-Childs pumpkins. They are so much fun for your informal table. I bet your grands love this tablescape! I especially like how your candlesticks are styled with the pumpkins on top. Perfect for daytime 😀

Jenna, you could have your own line of housewares with your talent. Your glasses are adorable!

    Happy Thanksgiving!
    xo,
    Ricki Jill

    • Thanks so much Ricki Jill! I had fun setting this unconventional table 🙂 I did have a painted glass and other accessories business for over 10 years and sold to gift shops all over the state, and I loved it, but I was working all the time and eventually got burned out and retired. Now I do it just for fun and for special requests from friends.

hey Jenna!! We were kind of on the same vibe with the black and white casual tables but yours is much more fun!!! I had to go back and look at the transformation of your little truck!! It is adorable!! Your turkey napkin rings are so cute!! I always love your personal touches!! I am thankful that I get to hop with you!!🧡have a wonderful Thanksgiving at the beach!!!

    • Thank you! I was so relieved when I saw your table and some of the others that were non traditional and casual because I was worried I’d made a huge faux pas doing something so unconventional for Thanksgiving!

  21. Shannon@Belle Bleu Interiors says:

Jenna, I love your Thanksgiving table! From the pretty plates to the adorable MC truck spilling with pumpkins, it is perfect for a fun and festive Thanksgiving. You are so talented, and I always love seeing your creations. Thanksgiving at the beach sounds like so much fun! I hope you and your family have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!

  22. Jenna, I commented early this morning on your fun and whimsical table but just noticed it apparently landed in cyberspace somewhere. You always style creative tables and your rhymes just show more of your amazing talents. The centerpiece pickup is perfect for your whimsical table dressed in black and white. The juxtaposition of the pickup on the MC stand is perfect. I love all of the pumpkins. I know you and the family will have a wonderful Thanksgiving at the beach!

  23. lghiggins says:

Such a fun table! I love your painted glasses, I loved…everything about the tablescape. I’m glad you put it out. It’s just too lovely not to enjoy even if you won’t be eating there.

Thanksgiving at the coast sounds like a fun time! I know you will set a beautiful table there as well. This one is fun with all the Courtly Checks and Stripes. Love that little truck! I love all the whimsical details. Happy Thanksgiving!

  25. Julie says:

I love the way you decorated the table with your new plates and the MCK theme. The red truck is just adorable and now you are all set for Thanksgiving Jenna.

  26. lulu says:

I’ll not be doing a Thanksgiving table this year so I’m enjoying what others of you are doing.

  27. Rita C. says:

Jenna, this looks great! That pickup’s got a prime parking spot reserved on that fluted cake stand, I must say! Love that runner, and the way you added the rust maple leaf on center and the other rusts/browns. It’s a really great match up. All the added black & whites that are non-MKC, including the plaid napkins, look fabulous together with your MKC collection. Look what those paper plates started! This is one of the many reasons why I love tablescaping – the source of inspiration can be one of a thousand different things. Thank you for bringing this fun table to our readers!

  28. sandraleegx2 says:

The MC styled pick-up truck is a real stand out and I always enjoy seeing your painted pieces. So many other details that make this a really fun table. Adults and kids can kick back and relax, enjoy the meal and take in all the eye candy. Surf and sun sounds amazing, it feels like Old Man Winter is going to make his appearance any day, Hope it’s nice and warm where you are, Happy Thanksgiving!

  29. Kim says:

Jenna, this is such a cute tablescape and I agree – it would be really hard to leave those sweet truck plates behind. I’m not ever sure that I would have realized that they were paper if you hadn’t said so! I love your MKC collection and the truck makeover is just adorable. I hope you have a wonderful holiday on the coast and wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!

  30. Fun, colorful and lighthearted! A wonderful treat to sit down to and enjoy good food and companionship. I love the graphic black and white items — they make all the pumpkins pop. My favorites though are your delightful painted pilgrims and turkeys on the glasses and the variety of pumpkins. Have a beautiful fall weekend and a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  31. Jenna, what cute plates. The little truck dishes are precious. The combination of dishes, glassware and other items make for a thoroughly festive table. The colors have a lovely tone for the holiday festivities. Happy Thanksgiving.

  32. Oh my! This is SO cute! I love how you took those plates as your inspiration and created this fun table with so many adorable themed details! Of course, I would not expect anything less than beautiful expressions of your talents on a table styled by you which is evident in that sweet truck and painted wine glasses! Bravo!! I hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving along the coast!

  33. Rebecca says:
