Book Recommendation and a Giveaway!

One of my good friends, Leslie Anne Tarabella,

is a very talented author

She has just released her 4th book,

“We Don’t Push in Fairhope”

It is already #1 in Alabama Travel Guides

and in the Top 50 in Regional Humor

It is full of stories about things that happen in her hometown

Fairhope, Alabama

Fairhope is a beautiful and charming small town

located on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in South Alabama

I have several friends that live in Fairhope,

and have been there many times

It’s about a 1 hour drive from our beach house

and has great shops and restaurants,

and an incredible art show every year

There is always a profusion of flowers planted along the sidewalks

and flower baskets hang on the lamp posts

There are beautiful old trees full of hanging moss

and a long walking path along the water’s edge

The municipal pier juts out into the bay

and houses a restaurant and a marina

The book is full of Southern humor and quirky characters

enjoying life in this wonderful community

I highly recommend relaxing in the pages of this witty,

and highly entertaining book!

Leslie Anne is a fabulous writer and I love reading her blog. I haven’t been reading as much the last couple of years, mainly reading with my girls. We just finished a child’s version of Pilgrims Progress! Happy Sunday, Jenna!

Jenna, thanks so much for telling us about Leslie’s books. I love to read historical fiction and books that warm your heart and have a happy ending. I have been lucky enough to visit Fairhope on a couple of occasions. It is a beautiful town, and I always remember those large baskets of flowers hanging from the light poles. Happy Sunday!

Thanks so much for sharing about your friend, her book, and the Fairhope community. It looks like a Hallmark town! I would love to visit.
    Happy Sunday, Jenna.

Thanks for sharing about the book! I will read anything but admit to a weakness for romances! Mary D.

Oh the south home sweet home…I love dreaming
and reading about being back! As my job transfer
has taken me to Midwest for now.
    Thanks for recommendation!

I enjoy reading all types of literature, and I loved Leslie’s The Majorettes Are Back In Town! Fairhope is such a quaint community. My childhood bestie recently moved there.

Beautiful scenery, looks like great places for walking. The giveaway is some weak tea, people would probably be more interested if the giveaway included cash or Walmart gift cards.

  10. Judee says:

I like to read historical fiction, memoirs, and biographies- really just books about people and their lives. I probably would enjoy this book. Lovely photos!

  11. Thank you for telling your readers about my book! I’ve had such fun this past week releasing it and making appearances to sign and be interviewed. It’s so much fun to see all the work come together and hear people laughing at the stories and discussing it. Ahh- the arts – so risky, yet rewarding! Thank you a million times over, Jenna!

  12. Susan says:

Love to read. It can be fiction or nonfiction. My favorite place to read is the bathroom. Just bring in a chair, close the door and read. I like books by John Grisham, James Patterson and Fern Michaels and many more.
The photos you posted a very pretty. I can identify with the piers, rivers and lakes since I live in Louisiana. People in the South are very friendly and welcome. When they get together there is always stories and lots of visiting. I would not want to live any where but the South. I just loved your column.

I read fiction, non fiction, newspapers and more! I belong to a book club at our local library. Fairhope is on my list of places to visit . . . it sounds so inviting! I am located in the Midwest but love the Southern culture. I really enjoy following the Painted Apron.

My longtime Fairhoper friend is a special Southern lady that captures all the fun and fantastic moments in our precious town, Fairhope. So proud of her.

Jenna, I thought I commented on this post but don’t see it here. Fairhope looks like a beautiful town. Leslie Anne has a great sense of humor and I love the cover art for her book. I started listening to audiobooks about 20 years ago when I had an hour commute to work every day and got hooked. I use a Kindle to read in bed at night as it’s backlit and I still listen to audiobooks while doing chores, gardening or walking the dogs. I know some lucky reader will enjoy this book. Happy Friday ♥

    • I need to try audio books again, sometimes I get so hung up on the voice reading I get distracted and don’t enjoy the book 😂 I read on a Kindle too, love it! Fairhope is like a town in a Hallmark movie!

  17. lghiggins says:

Congratulations to the author! Fairhope sounds like a fun place to visit or live. I enjoy cozy mysteries, historical fiction, clean romances, Christian fiction and nonfiction, and humor plus just about any book that my book club dives into.
