Tablescapes, Welcome Baby C

We had a little dinner party the other night, awaiting the arrival of Baby C. Due at any moment DD requested a quiet dinner at our house, she was craving filet mignon. No pickles and ice cream for DD! This gave me a lovely excuse to set a little pink table…
I didn’t realize I had so many pink things!
I put a bright pink mat under a round ruffle edged mat. Reminds me of a swirly skirt! I used my pewter dinner plates topped with white china salad plates and a pewter baby porridger. And because it is Easter time, and my burlap bunnies are pink, they hopped right onto the table to hold a bright pink dotted napkin.
I added some frosted glass goblets
The centerpiece was built up on a round greenish ceramic tray with a small cake stand in the center. The stand happens to be painted with pink flowers around the edge, perfect!
I tucked green ribbons and paper white roses around the base
On the cake stand is a piggy bank, a pink and white bunny mug and a baby figure. Tucked in and around are more heirloom silver rattles and cups and a pink baby spoon.
I got the handmade baby sign at a crafts fair, the girl that made it is actually one of DD’s good friends.
I have a few surprises in store for Easter too
a basket full of things for baby…
Thanks so much for visiting today, I hope I’ve inspired you to look around and put together an impromtu table for some dining fun!

I hope you enjoyed your filet mignon dinner! I’m with your daughter on that one…no pickles or ice cream for me, either, when BEEF is anywhere in sniffin’ distance! 🙂
You did a great job on the table! Didn’t realize you had so much pink around, huh? With that little girl just a heartbeat away, it won’t be long before you’re overflowing with pink at every turn!!!
Thanks Alycia!
