Tablescapes, Small Bites & Snooty Waiters

There’s a bunch of snooty waiters at my house…
The tall one with long jowls and curly tuffs neatly divided by his center part
The mustached Bread Waiter who has proved to be a master pepper grinder
The Cheese Expert, the short, round Sommelier and the Head Waiter, ready to serve the entree
They will be serving us as we dine on small plates to hold our small bites.
This intimate table for deux is set with everything we need for a casual evening
A simple meal with a wedge of cheese, some salad and fruit
lots of fresh vegetable eye candy, shallots, mushrooms, grape tomatoes and garlic
Some seeded flat breads, to pair with the silky smooth fontina cheese wedge…
Smokey grilled artichokes, basted with olive oil and sea salt and lemon…
Pillowy pasta shells are stuffed with Italian sausage, ricotta, spinach and drizzled with cream.
A whimsical chef hangs from the three tiered server…
He’s gazing at the painting of a kitchen of fellow chefs busy cooking and prepping tonight’s dishes.
The chair backs are decorated with a crisp black and white kitchen towel tied with a bunch of fresh parsley.
We have mugs for coffee and goblets for wine. The chef wine glasses are painted with a “he”
and a “she.”
Creme filled Pirouette cookies and Godiva chocolates wait under the dome in case we want a sweet bite for dessert.
We are ready to settle in and be attended to by all these snooty waiters!
How do you handle snooty waiters? Stop by tomorrow and I’ll share the recipes with you!

Such a fun and whimsical table! Love the snooty waiters! We have a couple items of the ‘fat chefs’ but not enough for a table. Might have to get more in this collection!! And I love the chairs decorated with the black and white towels with parsley!
Kenley
Thanks Kenley, I didn’t realize I had so much waiter stuff! Funny what you come up with when you start hunting and gathering! Have a great week, Jenna
I love your snooty waiters and the wine glasses are wonderful too! Great tablescape!
Thanks Pat!
I love the parsley on the chair backs! I’ll have to remember that when my herbs are taking over the garden this summer. Everything is lovely and looks delicious!
Thanks Kim, I am going to plant some herbs next weekend but I’m afraid my thumb is not as green as yours!
Jenna
The snooty waiters….hilarious!
Thanks Laurie!
What a cute, cute, CUTE setting, Jenna! I’m not only lovin’ the neat artwork and drinkware you painted to work with the plates and menu, but that parsley as a chair embellishment is just the bee’s knees!!! You and I are both fans of snooty waiters, and I’m diggin’ the way yours have gathered together to serve you! Cute idea to combine the word plates with those with the waiters, and I love the way you so easily and expertly incorporated foods of all kinds!
Thank you Alycia, I’ve been forced to be a little creative with food lately as I haven’t had much time to cook! You always get my humor, I love it!!
Ha ha, I wish I had thought to include James in my setting! Darn!
What a fun table, Jenna…grilled artichokes sound wonderful!
Snooty waiters, just smile…
Thanks Marigene!
Too Cute!!! I love the waiters! Great table, it looks so fun with the checked table cloth and the zebra chargers- that all makes those funny little guys pop off the orange plates. You kicked it up a notch with the chair decor 🙂
Thanks Ann, I appreciate your sweet comments,
Jenna

What a fun and creative table Jenna! Love the snooty waiters and your bite & eat plates 🙂
So fun! Your waiters make me laugh.
I’ve never had grilled artichokes, but I think I’ll have to give them a try.

Thank you! Do try the artichokes…

Thanks so much Sarah!

Such a cute table – those plates and glasses are adorable. Hope you kept those snooty waiters in their “place” – lol!! Love that MC butter dome – drool!!
The MC butter dome is actually one of her more affordable pieces, I have been using mine everyday for years { I keep a tub of soft margarine in it in the fridge} and it looks brand new. I have been considering buying some of her metal plates too. Thanks for the fun comments!
Jenna
Such a cute collection of snooty waiters! Love this table with the black and white and pops of color from the plates! Cute as can be!
hugs,
Linda
Such a cute table! I love your collection!
Oh my word, this is the cutest table I have ever seen. I totally adore it. Your snooty waiter collection is amazing and the way you have presented the food is genius and so inviting. I love it all. Thanks so much for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
.79 ! What a deal, and they are so cute.
This is a wonderful table, so much fun! And they can freshen their breath with the parsley!
Bad waiters get a bad tip! Plus I let the owner know. With the economy the way it is, they need the customers to come back. Haven’t had a bad waiter lately, they all need the job! 🙂
Thanks Kathleen! I loved what you said about freshening breath with the parsley! Ha Ha! Jenna
Such a cute table. Love the black, white and orange. Very festive.
