Thanksgiving is on the horizon but with Christmas just around the corner I couldn’t help thinking about last year…and I was reminded of the many things I have to be thankful for tomorrow…
The delight on Super Boy’s face as we hung the advent calendar with its big pop of red
Visions of sugar plums danced in everyone’s head
The Sweet Shoppe was open with a shelf full of toys
And lots of temptations for good girls and boys
I had Breakfast with Santa to check over his list
I wanted to make sure no one was missed!
Naughty or nice, we didn’t have to think twice!
Everyone had been ever so grand
We celebrated with an Alabama Frosty, a Melted Snowman!
There was also a North Pole, a cold peppermint treat
and we noshed on a tree of tortilla spirals stacked up very neat…
3 babies were expected, March, February and January, our family is certainly very extrordinary!
We had a grits bar for Christmas Eve fun
and plenty of sweets to munch on when the meal was done
Jolly adults dined under a Candy Cane Cloud,
The kids were close by laughing out loud! They were up to Some Mischief with the Elf on the Shelf, goldfish for them, and none for the Elf~
Things quieted down by New Year’s Eve
And we toasted to what we both knew to believe…
How lucky we were, it was hard to conceive!
Wishing you a wonderful and thankful holiday season!
