Tablescapes, Mother’s Day in the Garden

Happy Mother’s Day!
Whether you are raising babies, teenagers, puppies, furry friends or grandchildren, we all know it takes a lot of love, patience, and hard work…
I have been blessed with fantastic children, who have become my best friends as adults, and they have given me 3 precious grandchildren… but this post today is all about my Mom…
My mother gave me the gift of creativity
She taught me the fun of sharing and giving
She showed me how to set beautiful tables and entertain with ease
She shared her love of beautiful things and gracious living
She encouraged me to be an artist
She would love that I have found a way to share her spirit in so many ways…
Oh by the way, my Garden Stakes are working!
I must confess that these beautiful dishes are a gift I gave myself, in my mother’s honor, as she loved dinnerware…and loved having lots of different china patterns and using a variety of things on her table
I love how the pieces of this pattern mix and match
Bright colors, lively patterns
I decided to mix and match the flatware too, with Painted Forks
and green handled knives and spoons
My mom loved coffee and a glass of wine, and I will toast her on this special day~
Happy Mother’s Day Mom~

What a sweet post about your mom! The china is beautiful, and those forks you painted are amazing. I love how you used two types of place mats together. Everything coordinates magically and is so lovely! I hope you had a blessed Mother’s Day, Jenna. 🙂

Beautiful sentiment about your mom. You learned her lessons well. It shows in your tablescapes and I enjoy going thru your archives. Very inspirational.
Thank you Wanda~

Love the colors you used and those dishes look like handmade pottery I used to see on my trips to adorable mexico border towns. They always such wonderful markets years ago filled with pottery and rugs. Now I am wishing I bought some pottery after seeing your lovely dishes!
